I just watched the KWK interview and have a new appreciation for Ekta Kapoor. Although I feel KS is sliding into a quagmire, I have developed a new respect for Ekta Kapoor not only as a businesswoman but as a human being.

During the interview Ekta said these words:

"A company that makes millionaires is a better company (than a company) that makes millions. A company that has people who are growing and a company that sees people are well looked after ….people say why don't you end old shows; I said no how many homes are running with that ….it's a responsibility a company takes on." "A real entrepreneur is not somebody who finds their own talent but finds the vision and possibility to see somebody else rise in life."

I was blown away at her generosity and altruism. She was absolutely down to earth. I have worked for a company since I was a student and I can't imagine that the CEO would care about me to the extent that Ekta's words implies that she cares for her employees.

Kudos to Ekta a woman with a heart.

If she has a heart then she should let true love win out with our JB!!! Why does she need to show illicit relationships and negativity winning at all times!!!

Nina

Shahni4,

Apparently acc ording to her interview she sells what sells the most, and apparently negativity sells better and she was very explicit that if you dont like them dont watch them. I guess its just us, we have to stop watching it hardly matters to her anyways

I had to take my time writing this and you don't know how many times I had to replay Ekta's conversation in KWK 😆. She does seem to genuinely care for her actors and their families. But in the same light Etkas Angel - she doesn't seem to give 2 hoots about her audience and makes serials for the masses. I'm still trying to figure out why she feels the masses would better accept incest, rape, cross marriages, illogical storylines, bloopers and lack of continuity whereas women in the upper status wouldn't - since she said she doesn't make her serials for these women. Is it because she considers them too educated to put up with such disgusting albeit laughable storylines and bloopers and only ordinary folks would find this rubbish entertaining? I'm still pondering that one as I don't know much a bout Ekta. But her comments about the upper status women and if you don't like her shows don't watch them - lends her an aire of arrogance - aimed at the very people who have made her the queen of serials and possibly who could replace her with say Smriti Irani (is she now producing?).

I think she is a mix of humble, arrogant, visionary, obnoxious, delusional, thoughtful, controlling, vindictive and caring.

Yeh she really does and i honestly belive that if she wasnt nice she wouldnt i mean at the end of the day most employeers are 🤢 and to find nice ones are rare lol

But in the same light Etkas Angel - she doesn't seem to give 2 hoots about her audience and makes serials for the masses. Well honestly i think she must know who shes targeting because her shows get high trp and it is the masses she just cares about them not ones that moan about kreativity thats all she meant personally i got to not completly not care for any business person is stupidity I'm still trying to figure out why she feels the masses would better accept incest, rape, cross marriages, illogical storylines, bloopers and lack of continuity whereas women in the upper status wouldn't - since she said she doesn't make her serials for these women.well obviously they do and most of the time its just done for shock facter hate it or like it these storylines shake people up Is it because she considers them too educated to put up with such disgusting albeit laughable storylines and bloopers and only ordinary folks would find this rubbish entertaining? Nope simply because if you uncomplicate her serials and look at basic things it is is about morals and good in end ...i mean i got thinking about this on weekend i know 60 year olds who watch ks and still find nothing wrong and interesting , educted people who have obviously lived life....i am just trying to figure out what is it that hits those audiences I'm still pondering that one as I don't know much a bout Ekta. But her comments about the upper status women and if you don't like her shows don't watch them - lends her an aire of arrogance - aimed at the very people who have made her the queen of serials and possibly who could replace her with say Smriti Irani (is she now producing?). Its not arrogance its the truth i have to admit when i get beeped off i say that to😆 its the truth if you dont like the serial dont watch it she was aiming at upper class and ones who want intelligence and creativity......smirti wont replace her i dont think and ektas clever shes gonna be around for ages hate it or like it her shows talked about the jodis and characters
