I just watched the KWK interview and have a new appreciation for Ekta Kapoor. Although I feel KS is sliding into a quagmire, I have developed a new respect for Ekta Kapoor not only as a businesswoman but as a human being.
During the interview Ekta said these words:
"A company that makes millionaires is a better company (than a company) that makes millions. A company that has people who are growing and a company that sees people are well looked after ….people say why don't you end old shows; I said no how many homes are running with that ….it's a responsibility a company takes on." "A real entrepreneur is not somebody who finds their own talent but finds the vision and possibility to see somebody else rise in life."
I was blown away at her generosity and altruism. She was absolutely down to earth. I have worked for a company since I was a student and I can't imagine that the CEO would care about me to the extent that Ekta's words implies that she cares for her employees.
Kudos to Ekta a woman with a heart.
