Set on fire

The unit of Saathi Re had a narrow escape from death while they were shooting in Magnum Studios (Saki Naka). Actresses Indira Krishnan and Pariva Pranati along with the director and about fifteen unit members were shooting on the second floor when the first floor of the studio caught fire due to short circuit. The unit of Saathi Re had a tough time finding their way out of the rear exit of the studio. Around three fire brigades were called to put off the fire. The damages are estimated at five to six lakhs.

Indira Krishnan who is still reeling under the shock gave us a first hand account, "When I reached the set in the evening I told my director that I could sense a burnt wire in the room. They said it could be the garbage burning outside. Soon we went to the second floor and suddenly the lights went off. As I turned around I saw the entrance was full of smoke and I could not see anything. The first floor of the studio was on fire which spread to the second floor as well. We ran towards the terrace and the unit members told us to vacate the place. It was difficult to locate the rear exit.
