Chapter Twenty Two
Entwined
-Part One-
She had recently realized the physical attraction that she feels for him, and hearing the same from him, made her happy. Before, she had thought of such intimacy as lust, but now she had realized it is a part of their marriage, desire and love.
She still could not forget the pleasure she experienced that night when they confessed their love, and the mere thought of her wanting more, had made her feel scandalous a bit at the beginning, but that feelings had not lasted.
Khushi turned in his arms and kissed his cheek. "Me too," she whispered in his ear.
His lips covered hers passionately as he pulled her against him. Arnav moved his hands under her top and caressed her waist. Goosebumps erupted on her skin at the sensational contact. In a moment, she was lying on the bed, his body atop hers. He kissed her again, gently and slowly. Khushi wrapped her arms around his neck, not willing to have some space between them. She wanted him, all of him.
She was a drug to him. He could not get enough of her. His mouth moved down her neck, nibbling and sucking. Khushi arched back to give him more access to her skin. His tongue moved along her earlobe teasingly.
"I love you," he whispered in her ear. Khushi opened her eyes to see the love and desire she felt mirroring in his. She felt special and precious. All of a sudden, her mind took her back to a time when she once had thought of his touch to be lust. Her hands cupped his face, seeking for a refuge from her own thoughts.
"I am sorry." He heard her murmur.
"Khushi?" The moist in her eyes alarmed him. Was he forcing her? Maybe, he should have...
"I don't deserve you." His trembling voice interrupted his thoughts.
"What are you saying?" Arnav sat on the bed and she followed him.
"How can you love me after everything I have said and done?" Regret and guilt are worse than hatred because you direct them at yourself, and Khushi was still feeling guilty; every time his love overwhelms her, she thinks of what did she do to deserve it? What did he see in her?
Arnav pulled her chin up; he wanted Khushi to look at him in the eyes. "Khushi, I told you before that I've never hated you. The circumstances were not right. And when we understood each other, you started putting everything you could offer into this relation, offering more than I could give. I could not hate you because I've never wanted to. You know why? Many times, I have seen the person you are, when you are with others. From the first time I have seen you, you proved me how selfless you are," Memories of those days when he used to wait for a glimpse of hers, flashed in his mind.
He was driving home at lunch time as he made it a habit to be home at that time; a new habit to fix his time according to hers. People say that habits and routines are usually so boring, but for him, this one was not. He parked his car in the same spot as usual and looked at his watch.
Just two minutes, he thought. As accurate as he was, after two minutes, she was standing with her friends in a corner near the school's gate, a beauty in beige.
His pulse raced as he noticed her looking disturbed.
He ran a hand through his hair, feeling...helpless.
Then he saw her keeping her arm around her friend's shoulder. Apparently, her friends was crying. Maybe that's why she's disturbed, he mused.
He felt relief washing through him at this thought.
He saw her consoling her friend with words and small gestures. After two minutes, she succeeded in making her friend laugh between her sobs.
He had already figured that this was her best friend for they had seemed to be always together, although his eyes had only seen her.
When she rode the school's bus, he drove off to his home, with a big smile sharpening his handsome features.
He knew that he was falling for her, and the good part is that he was not willing to ignore his feelings. He was happy that she made him feel when they had not met yet nor spoken a single word.
Arnav Singh Raizada was determined to change this fact now.
"...the Khushi I have seen helping friends and elders when they needed someone, the one who will do anything to cheer people up, is the one I've fallen for," Arnav smiled tenderly seeing a glint in her eyes.
"You need to reconcile with yourself if you really want this to work," His hands held hers firmly as he spoke,". so that you'll be capable of giving us all you have. I forgot those days, and so you should."
Khushi's eyes got teary seeing the love in his eyes. She leaned and kissed the scar on his eyelid. "Thank you for everything."
He shushed her with an intense gaze that melted her heart, and kissed her cheeks lingeringly and softly. His touch felt assuring and passionate at the same time. She needed it. His mouth covered her neck with open-mouthed kisses; his arms wrapped around her waist, bringing her closer.
Slowly, he lowered her on the bed before looking at her with desire-filled eyes." I want you, all of you." His husky voice sent shivers down her spine. She did not know how to reply; honestly, she was very nervous and excited in anticipation.
She closed her eyes and slightly nodded, her hands clutched his shirt tightly. He placed a gentle kiss on her lips sensing her nervousness.
"If you are not comfortable, just tell me, Khushi."
"It's..it's...not like that," she stuttered. How can she explain herself?
"It's normal to feel this way. Just relax." Arnav showered her face with kisses, whispering sweet nothings in her ear. Her heart thudded as his hands found the zipper of her kurta.

Arnav gazed at the beauty in front of his eyes before putting that tray on the table. He moved to the bed and leaned on her to kiss her good morning. She stirred as his lips were placed on hers. "Good morning."
Khushi rested her head on Arnav's chest, murmuring the same.
"Tum theek ho?"
Khushi shook her head and pouted, never meeting his eyes. "But I'll be fine."
"Khushi, look at me." He held her chin up, but she lowered her gaze. "Last night was amazing." She smiled and looked at him, with red cheeks. His words made her feel better.
"Let's have breakfast together then you can have a hot shower. It will help."
Khushi was about to get up when she realized that she was fully naked. Wrapping the bed sheet around her body, she spoke, "I think I'll shower first."
With a smile and beautiful memories of their union, Arnavsat on the recliner and waited for Khushi.*************
Sorry for the delay. My vacation started yesterday, and hopefully the updates are going to be regular. This holiday lasts for three months :D
