Thank you so much for commenting and being so patient with me. I know you have many questions regarding Khsuhi's behaviour..I'd like to explain them and answer you through the updates. This update is the longest one for this story!

Chapter Six:

An Important Decision

The night did not seem to have an end for both Arnav and Khushi; they were twisting from one side to the other...from right to left and left to right the whole night. Khushi was comparing her life before marriage and after it...before Arnav and with Arnav; there is no doubt that she chose her first life on the married one; a life she did not ask for, but one does not get everything s/he wants...all is left to destiny. Arnav too thought of his life, but started when Khushi entered it; he had weaved many dreams, wished many times to have her in his life, and his prayers were fulfilled. He was grateful to find Khushi, but he did not expect his life to turn like this..he never wished for her sadness, her disappointment, her hurt. She is his happiness though he could not remember a good moment lived with her, or maybe they were good when he spoke about The Merchant of Venice. He has to find the common points between them to plan for the next; for a future he wants to live with her. He got a little peace after knowing that his doubts were incorrect because there is still hope for his mission to win Khushi, and the chance is bigger than any time before. But he was still restless; did he hurt Khushi with his question? He was restless thinking about her feelings as he saw a glimpse of something..maybe disappointment in her eyes when he asked her. He quickly regretted what he did. But how could he get some shanty if he did not ask her? Some questions need to be asked to get their answers. Or he should have asked? Was he selfish when he thought of his peace?

Though Khushi gets afraid of darkness, but at the moment, she did not care because for her, her whole life became dark, and a little fake meaningless light would not change anything. She did not want anyone to console her, caress her and assure her not to be afraid, to tell her 'I am here for you', no she was over all of that.

"Good morning," Arnav wished Khushi the next morning feeling a little awkward after last night, but he tried to be normal. On the other side, Khushi was not ready to make any effort to reply him or listening to him. For her, she believes that she is forcing herself to get over her doubts even for a moment, but he always ruins everything by just a mere act (behaviour) or word. "Today is Sunday, and I don't go to work on Sundays; it surprise some people as I'm a workaholic, but this is the truth. I'm leaving to the gym now. I'll be here after an hour at breakfast time...see you." With every passing day, Arnav tries to give Khushi some new information about his schedule and lifestyle as he believes it helps to build a relationship between them, a connection or an understanding. Arnav wanted to kiss Khushi's forehead before leaving, but he knows her situation regarding that. He remembered the first encounter after marriage. Arnav could not deny that it always hurts him, but his love was stronger than that; he takes her behaviour as naivety and misunderstanding though he does not know what was going on in her mind. That how he spend the last two weeks by convincing himself that everything is going to be alright once they can clear everything when she gives him a chance.

As everyone took his seat on the dining room for the breakfast, Nani announced that she has news after the meal. Everyone was excited to hear it except Khushi, who did not seem to react in any way thinking that it would not be about her. After finishing the meal, Nani cleared her throat to grab everyone's attention.

"I think it's the time for Chhote and Khushi Bitya to go for a honeymoon." Nani said looking at the couple, who were sitting at her left side. Arnav and Khushi glanced at each other awkwardly. Arnav thought of it to be a good idea because he wanted to be alone with Khushi for some time; maybe it is good for their relationship, but he was aware of Khushi's refusal which was clear on her face, and he was the one who could understand her facial expression.

"I don't think that we can go nowadays...maybe after some time. I have plenty of work to do." Arnav spoke wanting to get Khushi out of this situation; the last things he wanted Khushi to feel are force and pressure. He also had a thought in his mind to discuss with Khushi.

"Work again...You can delay any work, but not your honeymoon, Arnav." Nani protested. Arnav knew that she was very angry with him as she called him by his name not 'Chhote' as usual.

"Please Nani...try to understand..I need some time as I have commitments here. I'll think about it and tell you tomorrow, Okay?"

"What do you think, Khushi Bitya?" Nani asked wanting to know Khushi's opinion regarding the matter.

"I think he is right, Nani Ji." Khushi replied with low voice, which the others understand it to be out of shyness, but Arnav was the one to understand that. Arnav loves it when Khushi tries to be with him in front of others. At least she does not make a scandal out of their relationship, and others can never know anything between the duo; it was like a secret the two have.

"As you like...but you need to think of your destination from now." Nani agreed hesitantly, after all her Chhote was known of his stubbornness.

After an hour, Anjali called to invite Arnav and Khushi to have lunch at her place. Khushi agreed as Anjali asked her to come, after all, there's Priya and Anjali whom Khushi loves. Khushi had never got acquainted with Rahul, so it was a chance to know him; she actually started to like him as she had heard a lot of praises for him from Nani, Anjali, and Priya too.

Everyone sat on the living room at Rahul's house after having a delicious lunch made by Anjali. Khushi had offer to help Anjali, but the latter refused. Priya sat on the couch between Arnav and Khushi.

"Priya loves you, Bhabi. Since you got married, she wants to visit RM daily," Anjali said with an affectionate smile, which Khushi reciprocated.

"I love her too. She is a cute girl."

"And also naughty," Rahul said laughing at his daughter's protest.

"Priya, don't you think that you should have your nap now?" Anjali asked as she did not want Priya to hear what she was about to say.

"No, I want to stay with Mama and Mami. They are here for the first time." Priya was on the verge of crying.

"It's okay, Anju...she can stay with them. She will sleep early tonight, right princess?" Rahul spoke.

"Right dad."

"Stop spoiling your princess," Anjali grumbled.

"Okay my queen." Rahul said that just because he did not want to upset his Rani Sahiba, but he would not stop spoiling his daughter. Khushi looked at them...they looked perfect together. Rahul eyes were speaking of the love, affection and tenderness he has for his Anjali. They looked cute together..the way Anjali complains and how he tries to satisfy her by a mere word. Khushi sighed weeping her luck. Arnav kept smiling looking at his Di and JijaJi. He was hoping that this encounter would help Khushi to understand the sacred relationship they have...the right they have on each other...the care they should feel for each other.

"Did Nani tell you about her plans today?" Anjali asked Arnav and Khushi.

"Yes." Arnav replied.

"What do you think?" Rahul asked.

"I don't think we can leave sooner. I have ...and duties towards my family and work."

"But you have duties towards your wife too, Chhote," Anjali objected.

"I told Nani that I'll give her a final answer tomorrow." Arnav aid wanting to finish the discussion.

"You don't value this time of your relationship, Arnav. This is the time you can spend with each other alone... I wish I could take Anjali for a honeymoon now...those were the days."

"Rahul! You just start at any time. There's a child here." Anjali groaned.

"Okay...but, it's time to strengthen your relationship and get to know each other more." Rahul said to persuade Arnav and Anjali.

"Please, can we change the topic? I said I'll give my word tomorrow. By the way, Is it your idea, Di?" Arnav looked irritated. Anjali ran a hand through her hair and looked down for a second.

"Yes, Chhote." Anjali replied gritting her teeth.

"I knew it."

"Mummy, what does a honeymoon mean? Does the moon give honey?" Priya interrupted them looking thoughtful. Everyone laughed at her question including Khushi. Arnav looked at her feeling delight to hear her laugh, and Anjali casted 'I told you' look at Rahul, who decided to handle the matter.

"Not like that, honey! It's a trip for couples." Rahul explained.

"And what they do in that trip?" Priya asked again. Rahul was about to laugh, but Anjali's angry face prevented him. Khushi was embarrassed at the moment and Arnav could feel that without looking at her red face.

"They do sightseeing, dear."

"Can I go too?"

"It's only for couples. Your husband in future will take you in a beautiful trip. Now don't ask more, Priya. Okay?" Rahul knew that Anjali is going to b3e tough with him once Arnav and Khushi leave.

"Bhabi, come with me. I want to serve the sweets. Chhote has told me that you love Jalebis a lot."Anjali took Khushi to the kitchen with her.

"What's the matter, Bhabi? Why do you keep quiet? Is Arnav good with you? I know he is unromantic, but he's a good guy." Anjali asked as they were alone in the kitchen. She sensed that something was wrong between the two.

"Nothing like that...I'm fine. There's nothing I can talk about that's why." Khushi justified.

"Are you sure?"

"Ji, Anjali Ji."

"Okay...come. I hope they aren't talking about work now." Anjali gave Khushi the sugar-free-jalebis dish and another one, and she carried a dish of another sweets.

"Please, don't tell me that you were talking about work," Anjali said.

"No we were not." Rahul replied looking serious. Anjali nodded her head asking him if everything was alright, and patted his lashes assuring her. That how their relationship is; they are able to communicate in any way be it signs or anything else.

"Give the small dish for Chhote, Bhabi. It's sugar free. By the way, I've asked Rahul to buy good sweets especially Jalebis as I've never made them, so can you tell me how do you make them?" Anjali asked Khushi mainly because she wanted Khushi to speak and hold a conversation with them.

Khushi changed her position on the couch and started with the ingredients, then she explained excitedly giving the small details about making Jalebis. Arnav, Anjali, Rahul and Priya stared at Khushi surprised while she was talking; they had never seen her before in that way... so lively and cute, Arnav thought. He wished he could always see her like that.

"You look so fond of Jalebis," Anjali said.

"Yes, I am. I love Jalebis." Finally Khushi realized how she was speaking. She blushed embarrassed at that.

At seven o'clock or so, Arnav and Khushi left to RM. While driving, Arnav asked Khushi if she wanted to go somewhere or visit her parents, but she replied negatively.

"Khushi, I want to discuss something with you," Arnav initiated a conversation as he sat on the recliner.

"The whole day, I have been thinking about one thing...I want to complete my studies." Khushi spoke about what was going on in her mind. She was sitting on the bed's edge.

"That's what I wanted to ask you about. I think you should register in the college soon." Khushi looked at him as he said those words. She had never expected him to care about her studies or something, but he actually does, but she never thought about that. Another thing the both of you did not realize was their telepathy; they had been thinking lately about the same thing, both of them love reading, and they are stubborn and quiet at the same time.

"Yes, I'm going tomorrow. I don't want to destroy my future also," Khushi said the last sentence in a low voice, but Arnav could hear what she said. It hurts him whenever she spoke like that, but he tries to look over such situations.

"So, what did you decide?"

"Designing."

"Great! But what about literature?" Khushi was surprised. How could he know a lot of things about her?! He knows that she loves Jalebis, and literature!

" I just love reading novels. That's it!"

Khushi had been thinking lately about Payal words. If she could not chose her partner by herself, at least she could decide her future and chose what she wants. After all, she is a good students and no one deserves to destroy her life for. From now on, she would choose everything and he has to be ready to get anything she wants for her. She decided to ask for whatever she wishes for because anyways, she can't change what happened, but she can decide the coming. She had got a scholarship to study and she would accept it the next morning and see the college. That's her decision; to think about herself.

Arnav had never forgotten Khushi's studies; he had been waiting for her to speak about it, but when she did not, he decided to speak with her about it. And when Nani talked about their honeymoon, he remembered Khushi's studies and wanted to give this topic the priority.

"Okay, I'll drop you tomorrow."

"There's no need. Any driver can drop me."

"As you wish."

As Khushi went downstairs after that, Arnav laid on the recliner to let Rahul's words , which Rahul said when Khushi and Anjali were in the kitchen, to echo in his mind.

'Arnav, I sense something wrong between you and Khushi. I don't want any explanation or justification...I know how good you are. And I know how stubborn and proud of yourself you are, but I still believe that you are a good guy because I can see the love you have for Khushi in your eyes. Listen to me carefully, Every relationship takes time for the adjustments and so on. You both need to be patient and understand each other. You should talk to each other and speak up your feelings and thoughts, let the other know what you think of, to understand each other. This stage of your relationship is the most important one in your lives. Marriage is an amazing thing, it's where you can find love, respect, care, security, safety, happiness, support and all the good feelings a human can feel. When I knew Anjali, she was stubborn just like you, she did not talk to me or even cared about my existence; her ego stopped her many times, but I've waited for her believing that my love will win, our love. It took many efforts and attempts from me because I knew at the end, she will be mine. A year before our marriage, she expressed her feelings to me, she admitted her love for me. They are coming. Remember my words...Now your Di will say, Please, don't tell me that you were talking about work.' When Arnav and Khushi were about to leave, Rahul whispered to Arnav. 'Please, don't make your relationship a habit; a habit to see each other and live together. Make every day a different one.'
