Shekhar with Asha Bhonsle

Judges Vishal-Shekhar and Asha Bhonsle have been missing Himesh Reshammiya on the sets of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007. Recently Himesh had to leave for Bangkok for his shoots and while leaving the sets he handed over his cap to Shekhar (of Vishal-Shekhar fame) to supervise his gharana. In Himesh's absence Shekhar took full opportunity to pull off on Himesh. He imitated Himesh throughout the show and sang songs in Himesh's brand nasal voice. This was not all, even Asha Bhonsle joined Shekhar in the fun.

Shekhar with Himesh's cap

Says Payaol Patel, Creative head on the show, "Himesh was not around and he gave his gharana's responsibility to Shekhar. He took his cap and kept it on Himesh's seat and took blessings from Ashaji before starting out with his act. Shekhar imitated Himesh's lines like 'Let's Rock' and 'Tumhe Roti Milegi'. Ashaji patted Shekhar softly and joined in the fun."

All the five judges on the show have bonded really well on the show in spite of all the competition and the on-going arguments on the sets. When contacted Shekhar said, "Himesh gave me the responsibility to judge and guide his gharana. We were basically having a blast on the sets. As we did not have Himesh in person and we were missing him a lot so we kept his cap in front of us (the cap was representing him)."
