She's a black character...only that her motivations are SOLID...she wants CONTROL...over the haveli, over her children, over everything around her...but those motivations don't make her GREY.

See I agree that she has been painted black in the lad do track and am not denying it... She is a black character now.. She was not black from the beginning...
But the only other time she had no qualms with murder is that she bartered Paro for Rudra.. fine she was black since then

And this is not in particular for you but in general.. re treatment of maithili: But pray tell me, i am sure all of us would have seen a dozen shows where the hero has treated the heroine like crap but fans defend saying bad upbringing, past issues,etc,etc.. hero ke liye its justified but just cuz the writers don't bother to dwell providing credibility to the antagonist, that character becomes an antagonist and easily written off as black? Hypocricy much!
For me an antagonist necessarily doesn't mean black..

Although in this case, I would say his reaction is more of a protective one...it's funny cuz in general he's so FRUSTRATED with her REFUSAL to listen to him...but when she actually starts feeling that guilty and crying, he rushes to console her...

and that quality in him makes me go all. the protectiveness, the restlesness he feels when he sees her crying. i know the hug is not the kind of hug i was talking about, but still i am glad, may be because finally paro baisa understood her mistake and gives him the much deserved credit for being the shield, the protector of the relationship, he deserved it . It was annoying how the whole forum defended her unusual and wrong behaviour towards him by saying that its not mistrust or doubts its just her sadness, but i am glad that we did not watch the same show but the actual RR. 😛..

I think the most significant was the bit where he reassures her that he'd never let Laila come in b/w them...instead of pestering Rudra about why he took a day off, Paro should ask him what THAT means😆...when he's openly telling her he'd never let a third person come b/w them.

Exactly, she should ask him that why cannot he see her cry, but i think thats too much to expect. i will just enjoy the sorry , hug and his consoling her. You know he just does not like when Paro regrets, he cannot see her regretting, thats his literal weakness.

Yeah Laila's caught another lucky break with Tejawat's return otherwise Rudra is right on his instinct about her and now he looks more pissed off than ever as her deceit is showing more clearly...loved that last bit where he said, "Laila, mere saamne mat aana nahin toh pachhtaayegi"😆

Anu, no doubts Rudra was always right, and thank god he was right. Laila, bloody fortunate lady, whoa how easily she is getting successive chances and scopes to create a ruckus for Rudra.
yes he is actually fedup, he would let her go, but he is pissed off at her more because laila played with paro's emotions, in that case we know " oonth pagal hojata hain "...
loved the last line, he thought paro was again angry at him because he was not supporting laila,

I guess RP will leave for Mumbai soon and Laila might return to the haveli in their absence.

i just want to see the tandav Rudra will do after he faces maala, and yes also how dilsher will react.before that, hopefully his hand will recover. I hope this time dilsher supports Rudra, because i will hate it if he supports Paro when Paro is doing wakalat of maala, and how superior maala is, i hope dilsher shuts her up, what a treat it would be.
I hope Paro supports Rudra and not maala please.

Mohini also tried to BURN Dilsher alive...how would you justify that?

Re: bold: I personally am not calling Mohini black cuz she's an antagonist...even Laila is an antagonist but as I said, she is still grey in my opinion...

I don't really understand how you've made this into a discussion about the so called dark heroes in most cliched soaps...especially considering all the hoopla you've seen over RK in the MB forum😆

Mohini's treatment of Maithili is deliberately CRUEL and MALICIOUS...outrightly abusive...I don't condone the typical physical abuse from male leads in most shows either but we're talking strictly about Mohini herself here...and I'm judging her based on her actions...which are black all the way in my eyes.

@red:- ohh that was regressive. i think RK should be the benchmark when we compare and talk about abusive male characters onscreen, otherwise the ones we see they are so typical and cliched, it comes off more like an YRF hero rather than being really abusive. RK was truly a new item in the world of " abusive " male leads.

having said that, i am glad that Rudra doesn't fall in any of the categories, his role seems more like an author backed one, a perfect blend of everything a man with battered childhood can posess.

Anu- I still havent seen the episode!! Dont ask- life na- hitting like a ton of bricks today!
BUT Thakur is BACK!! yayy! And Paro baisa is regretting- hainnn?? ParLa kahatm matlab??

Will be back- hopefully soon after finally getting to see the episode 😒

Edit- OK FINALLLY Saw it!I found it filler-ish and very rushed😕 The good parts for me- Rudra was looking damn good- Finally white T and a black jacket which is good on the eyes! I still was ogling more on that Kala Khatta Gola though!! Arse ho gaye khaaye hue😔 rudra also looked damn good in BSD office-in his element
Paro's reaction to laila's apparent deceit was cut too short! Maybe they will focus on it more tmrrw- but the transition was too quick to digest today! itni jaldi she left her amarprem?

Man-Mohini Kakisa sure has venom inside her- I think laila might get a chance to cross on the positive side but Mohini ji- nahi- too much poison ingrained in each cell of her body!

And finally Thakur sa is actually back! So good to see him and that twinkly evilish smile!

Paro and Rudra are talking about their rishta and potential daraar tomorrow😲 Surprising- have they now defined it as a pucca RISHTA? And I thought Rudra was the sabse bada daraar till now in that rishta?

LOL RK was TWISTED more than ABUSIVE...just a really, really twisted and obsessive mind...but atleast he was upfront about what a pyscho he was...unlike the usual "dark" heroes whose abusive behavior gets sugarcoated in the midst of "romance".

Anyways I also like that Rudra doesn't fall into any of these categories...I don't find him an abusive character at all actually.

I don't think anything has really been DEFINED...these two operate on a subconscious level in general anyways...atleast Rudra does...he's going along with the flow in that moment I'd say.
