Anupama back to Shah house , at Baa's feet !
Param Sundari song Pardesiya out now
Everyone was seated around the living room, when Maan found his perfect opportunity to start his revenge saga. He looked towards Geet's room to find the door slightly open and he was sure she would be able to hear him. Maan looked at Mohinder and Raj, who were both busy in discussing the arrangements, Neena and Annie who were busy in selecting decorations. Maan winked at an excited Tito and called out to Geet.
Chutki puttar, tu bhi aake kuch select karle. Maan called out to her loudly, grinning widely from ear to ear. Mohinder looked up from the paper towards Maan in amusement. Mohinder laughed looking at Maan's wide grin understanding his trick to annoy Geet. He knew how much Geet hated to be called by that name and Maan calling her by the name would only make things worse. Geet who was lost in the file she was working on heard her most dreaded nick name and felt irritated, she hated that one name more than anything. Just as he wanted Maan watched Geet walk into the living room, fully irritated.
Papaji, maine aapse kitni baar kaha hai ki mujhe uss naam se mat bulaya kijiye. Geet cribbed walking towards Mohinder. Controlling his laughter Mohinder looked at her.
Puttar, maine toh tujhe bulaya bhi nahi. He said innocently. Geet looked at him in confusion.
Toh phir kisne... She wondered when she saw Mohinder's eyes move behind her. She turned back to find Maan and Tito grinning widely and giggling of course. Geet glared at both of them, she should have known they would definitely come up with something as idiotic as this.
Donkeys.! She mumbled and walked out of the room cursing Maan under her breath. How could she even expect him to not take revenge, winning was always his obsession. Maan looked at her retreating figure and was sure that she was as irritated as he wanted to see. This was only the beginning of the torturous day for her.
Papaji, main jaa rahi hoon. Mujhe clinic mein ek do ghante ka kaam hai, woh karke waapis aa jaungi. Geet said walking out of the bedroom. She looked back surprised when she heard all them laughing out loudly.
Aap log has kyun rahe hain.? Kya hua.? She asked when she saw Maan and Tito laughing as well.
Annie, what's happening.? Geet said when she saw Annie laughing and handing her a hand mirror signing her to look in there. Geet looked into the mirror only to scream out in horror. Her entire face was covered with black color leaving out her eyes. She looked at everyone trying to stifle their laughter but Maan was laughing uncontrollably, she didn't need to ask him to know that he was the one who did it.! Her hands itched to throw the mirror at his grinning face but ignoring him completely, Geet walked out of the place not before glaring at him. His happiness knew no bounds when he saw her puffed up face, he could make out she was irritated as hell within but was controlling herself. His grin just got wider when he heard the door of her room bang into its frame.
Bhai, you are too much. Annie laughed and joined Neena who was also laughing.
It can't be worse than running behind chickens and standing in cow dung. Maan smirked and walked out of the house leaving everyone amused. Mohinder and Raj looked at her other smiling at the way their children were interacting. It was definitely better than them ignoring each other.
Geet frantically searched around the room looking for the Nataraja statue that always sat at the side of her bed. It was a gift left by her mother for her, signifying her greatest passion; dance. It was closest to her heart as she had seen her mother making it out of soil she practiced dance on. A smile covered her lips remembering her mother's words " Geet, consider this a part of me". It was indeed a part of her mother. Her mother's soul, her dance and all her love was represented by that one gift which her mom had left for her before passing away. Geet sat on the bed trying to remember if she had moved it anytime soon. Just as she was about to go back searching for it, she remember Tito taking it away once for blackmailing her. Geet walked into his room to find him lying on the bed with music plugged into his ears. She pulled out the headphones from his ear and looked at him angrily.
Kahan chupa ke rakha hai tune usse.? Kya chahiye tujhe, bol de.! Geet asked him with her hands on her waist.
Kya hai.? Maine kuch nahi liya aur kuch chupaya bhi nahi. Tito said grabbing back his player from her hands.
Dekh Tito, mujhe tang mat kar. Tujhe pata hai woh mujhe bahut pasand hai, tu pehle bhi uske saath harkatein kar chuka hai aur maine pehle bhi kaha hai ki usse mat khela kar. Tujhe ek baar mein samajh nahi aata na.? Geet said searching around his room trying to look where he has hidden the statue.
Geet Didi, tujhe kya lagta hai mere paas koi kaam nahi hai teri cheezein lene ke alawa, maine kuch nahi kiya. Tere room mein hi hoga. Tito grumbled as she looked around his room and making it untidy.
Tu mera room kyun kharab kar rahi hai.? Ganda ho jayega... He said trying to pull her away.
Tu jaise bada saaf karta hai isse, saaf toh main hi karti hoon na. To ganda bhi toh main hi kar rahi hoon. Tu chup kar ja aur apna kaam kar. Kya chupa raha hai yahan pe, jo mujhe dekhne nahi de raha.? Muh band karke khada ho ja wahan pe, agar yahan mil gayi na mujhe meri cheez, tujhe garden mein ulta taang dungi. Geet warned him and looked in his cupboard while Tito stood behind her worried; he had hidden it in the cupboard. Geet looked at him angrily as she found nothing in his cupboard except his usual thrash.
Isme toh tere kachre ke alawa kuch nahi hai.? Tito main phir pooch rahi hoon, kahan hai bata de.! Geet said pointing a warning finger at him. Just as he was about to a answer, Maan entered the room with a smirk plastered on his face. He had noticed Geet searching for it in her room and before she could figure out anything about it being hidden in Tito's room, Maan had already taken it away.
Isse dhoondh rahi ho Geet.? Maan said holding the statue in his hand. Geet looked back to find him standing at the entrance with the small statue in his hands. Her eyes widened in horror and panic ran through her. She should have known all along that only he could be behind this.
Maan, please give it back to me. She said holding out her hand. He snorted and held it out to her.
This.? Let me see, what If I don't want to.? He said and tossed the idol in the air.
Please Maan, it's not funny. Give it back to me.! Geet said sternly holding her hand out again.
I'll think and let you know. Maan said and walked out of the room leaving a annoyed Geet behind. She ran behind him into the living room to find him and Annie running. Annie was chasing him while he ran saving himself from her. Her eyes widened as she saw the idol in his hands. She tried stopping them but neither of them was listening to her. A shriek escaped her lips as Maan tripped over the chair and a crashing sound broke the noise in the room. Geet walked over to his side and on the ground lay her broken idol. It was made of mud after all, it had to break.
Annie, stop it.! I'll kill you next time you try to put that thing on me. Maan said standing up and glaring at Annie. His eyes shifted to Geet who stood infront of him staring at the ground. He looked down to find the idol broken into pieces. It wasn't that which bothered him; it was the tears which he could see in Geet's eyes. His eyes were glued to her as she bent down to pick the two broken pieces in her hands. He hated the tears in her eyes, his intention was to trouble her but not hurt her.
Geet, I'm sorry.. He said but didn't receive any response. She quietly took the broken pieces in her hand and walked away from him. The tears streamed down her eyes as she looked down at the broken idol, it was the symbol of her mom's passion which now lay shattered in her hands. Geet saw Mohinder look at her in concern; he knew what it meant to her.
Geet puttar, main theek karwadunga, tu chinta na kar. Mohinder said smiling even though he knew it was broken beyond repair. Geet smiled at her father's sweetness.
Toot gaya hai papaji, nahi theek hoga. Main theek hoon.. Geet said in a sad tone and walked back to her room shutting the door behind her. Maan stood there looking at the closed door of her room feeling bad for hurting her.
Mohinder, kya hua Geet ko.? Raj asked as Mohinder looked at Geet's room in concern.
Woh gift use Anjana ne diya tha mitti se bana ke. Jabse Anjana gayi hai, tabse hi use bahut pasand hai, kisi ko bhi chune nahi deti usse. Koi baat nahi, theek ho jayegi thodi der mein. Mohinder said looking at Raj. Raj turned towards Maan and glared at him.
Why did you.. Raj started to say when Mohinder placed a hand on his shoulder and shook his head asking him not to say anything. Raj simply glared at a Maan and walked out of the room followed by Mohinder. Maan walked towards the lawn and looked towards Geet's window. He walked towards and looked inside to find Geet lying on the bed. The idol lay on the table beside her. Maan realized he had deeply hurt her though he never wanted to.
Geet felt a hand caress her hair; she knew who it would be. She wiped her tears away and sat up. Mohinder sat in front of her with a warm smile on his face.
Kaisa hai mera puttar.? He said caressing her hair.
Theek hoon Papaji. She smiled with the tears still glistening in her eyes. Mohinder looked at the 2 pieces at the side of the bed and looked back at her wiping her tears away.
Mujhe pata hai tujhe bahut pasand tha, par har cheez ka apna waqt hota hai. Ho sakta hai use aaj hi tootna tha, iss liye uske baare zyada na sochna. Putter, mama usme nahi, yahan pe hain. He said placing a hand over his heart. She smiled nodding at him.
Papaji, mujhe woh nahi pasand. Use har baat mein aage rehna hai, har cheez har aur jeet ke jaise dekhta hai. Geet mumbled and Mohinder smiled at her.!
Shuru kisne kiya tha puttar.? Mohinder asked raising an eyebrow and smiling at her widely. Geet looked down unsure of how to answer him. Ofcourse, she had started it by pouring coffee on him.
Dekh puttar, mana ki Maan se galti hui hai par woh jaan bujkar nahi karega aisa. Use nahi pata hoga ki woh tere liye kitna important tha. Apne papaji ki ek baat maanegi.? Jo bhi abhi tak hua, use bhool ja. Ek baar dosti ka haath bada ke toh dekh, phir bhi tujhe pasand nahi aaya toh phir teri jaisi marzi. He said and looked at her expectantly. Geet sighed and nodded brining a huge smile on his face. He placed a soft kiss on her forehead and left the room leaving her thinking. Friendship with sadu, it would be tough but there wasn't any harm in giving it a try.
She entered his room with the tray in her hands but it was empty.
Maan.?? She called out but there was no response. Just as she was about to turn around and go, she heard the washroom door open and she saw him walk out of the washroom with a towel hanging around his neck and his hair wet with the shower. Much to her surprise, her heart fluttered at the sight, he was looking handsome. Geet felt embarrassed looking at him. Just as she was about to then around and go, he called out to her stopping her in her tracks. Maan who was wondering all evening how to approach her for an apology, was surprised to see her in his room. She was just about to go when he called her back..
I'll come back later. You can change. I just came to give you the saffron milk, made it for everyone so I thought you would like it. She said in a meek voice still facing her back towards him. Maan looked at her back in surprise; she was much calmer and contrary to what he expected.
No don't go, not needed. Gimme one second. As he realized that he was bare chested, he quickly grabbed a T-Shirt and quickly put it on walking towards her.
It's okay. Actually Geet, I myself wanted to come to you. He said and she looked back at him. She eyed him expectantly but he was only looking at her for a few seconds and spoke suddenly.
I'm sorry. I am really sorry for what happened in the afternoon. I really didn't know it meant so much to you. I swear if I had known I wouldn't have taken it. Maan said taking Geet by surprise. She never expected him to apologize.
It's okay Maan, lets forget everything that has happened. Both of us were behaving childishly and I think we have troubled each other enough, lets end it. Geet said holding out her hand to him. Maan looked at her stunned by her words. He expected her to scream at him or plan some revenge and here she was extending a hand of friendship. Her sweetness bowled him away. Without hesitating Maan placed his hand in hers, shaking it. Geet smiled sweetly at him and handed him the glass of milk.
Good night. She said and turned to go back when he stopped her again. Maan couldn't believe she was being sweet to him despite all that happened, it somehow made him respect her more because she was opposite of what he was, he would never be able to forgive anyone that easily had that person ruined the thing that was close to his heart.
I'm sorry again. He said again and Geet smiled back him.
It's really okay. She said in a calm voice making Maan grin widely. She looked at the glass in his hand, asking him to drink it. He drank the milk in one go.
It was really nice. Maan said handing the glass back to her.
Thanks. I'm glad you liked it. Good night..
Good night. Maan replied and watched her retreating figure as she left his room. Both of them smiled at the thought of friendship realizing that both of them had judged the other one too easily without knowing each other. It was a new beginning which both of them looked forward to.!
Precap : A new beginning.! 😳
