Eklavya??

How come these Eklavya(aka standby) participants get direct entry to second round?Its unfair.

and these modern day eklavyas are lending their voices to their gurus...😆😆😆

I guess it is unfair if you look at it that way...but some of them are actually better than the real contestants themselves.

did u know that some think its a myth. they say eklavya sacrificed using 2 fingers after that incidence. there are archers who actually use bow and arrow w/o those fingers.. after eklavya..
i dunno what is true, but just shared, since u feel sad for eklavya. he is my favorite too.

i am talking abt challenge 2007 eklavyas here...

After listening to more Eklavyas today, they seem to be better than the regular contestants. I think they left some good singers in Eklavya gharana on purpose, so that when the mediocre singers are eliminated, a good singer takes their place for the 2nd round.

It is said that Eklavya was even better than Arjuna, and if Arjuna had not ensured that his biggest competitor was eliminated, the story of Mahabharata would have been different.

So, looks like SRGMP organsiers have a reason for keeping the better singers in Eklavya gharana.

What's terrible is that the all three of the very good Ekalvya male singers
have not been selected yet. The two weakest male singers IMO were
selected. I also did not care for Anita Bhaat but at least Sumedha got
selected. Sumona is also a very good singer and I guess she will
automatically go to whoever loses but then I read that Hit It keeps their
person so that means that Sumona is left behind.

The M/F balance seems odd. Plus the two Bhramhastras are boys.

Then the US singer was F, the Mid East M, S Africa male, Europe M, and then
all 4 from Pakistan are male.

Please help me sort this out.

Yes, a lot of those outside India are male, but they balanced that out by selecting a majority of females from India. All the gharanas except Bappi da chose 3 F and 1 M from India, because they were already getting 2 M from outside. Bappi da, however, chose 2 F and 2 M from India, because he was getting 1 F and 1 M from outside. So at the end of the day, each gharana has 3 M and 3 F.
