Your points:
One, Laila's grand plan to win over Rudra consists of rubbing her carnal knowledge of Rudra in Paro's face. What nonsense! Paro has no carnal knowledge and Laila's double-entendres only make Moonchiya horny, driving him closer to Paro to seek relief. Bakwas plan. Make the Laila track more ominous by having her work on breaking up Parud with more intelligent plans than bumping into Moonchiya in hallways or showing up in their room with low-waist skirts. Where is the menace??
Two, somebody please fire this sound/music editor of the show. He/She has no clue when to play what music. Ishaaqzade?? Really?? the one in which the leads DIE in the end? This is a rustic love story, you need a Rajasthani version of Rabba Ve. You need a Rangrasiya version that does not break out into full blown dandiya dance but plays mellifluously and gently in the background. When the singer blares "Inka saath hai Maati sang Kumhaar" I am forced to divert my attention from the romance on screen to lower my volume, breaking whatever spell they are trying to create.
Three, Paro's bangs are not being blown in some desert storm that can only be controlled by Moonchiya's only working hand. Make the wind blow her dupatta or skirt and then I will believe his need to jump to her rescue. Poor screenplay. Create intimacy and proximity with believable scenes, please, or else they look fake and forced.
I've never liked Kitchen politics in any show. The KcM Laila combo's cheap thrills and tactics are fast destroying the higher purpose that was set out for this show. If the intent is to show a love-story then make Laila menacing so I tremble in my boots at her presence.
@bold - WHOLE HEARTEDLY AGREE.
Lately the forum has become such a difficult place to visit what with all the fandom-wars. What I fail to understand is that don't we have bigger things to worry about, say for instance, the current TRACK (or lack of it) in the show????? I mean seriously, just because Tarun left (HUGE loss IMO), doesn't mean that the Tejawat track has to be totally forgotten. What's wrong with bringing Mala into the house instead of Laila??? Wouldn't that have atleast made some sense????
I have always watched soaps with a pinch of salt and understood that it was too much to expect them to show logic. RR began with so much promise and though there were scenes I overlooked, scenes I rolled my eyes at and scenes that just made me wanna bang my head against the wall, I still persisted with watching this because I knew that the show is something different with a potential to become AWESOME. But alas the way the tracks have been changed(TRP pressure I guess) the essence of the show has gotten lost somewhere(IMO people, no bashing). And as if this wasn't enough, everyday on the forum I login to such a negative atmosphere. That too in 5 months. All of this just puts me off even more.
Sorry for the rant SJ, but I guess I had too much angst stored in me. Inspite of all I said, I will still continue to tune in to Colors at 9:30pm and give my humble contribution to the TRPs hoping against hope that we might still get the brilliance we got a glimpse of, called RANGRASIYA.
