Post marriage, Yash Raj scion brings in young guns to head studio

Even post Yash Chopra's death, the Yash Raj Studio was completely being managed by Aditya Chopra and all the names that had been working with them since time immemorial.

Uday Chopra, Aditya's younger sibling got busy with the Hollywood wing of the studio, entrusting Aditya with the entire responsibility. Now, after his marriage to Rani Mukerji, the complete change in the top rung has been brought into effect. The people who will be calling the shots are Ali Abbas Zafar, Maneesh Sharma, Atul Sabharwal and Anmol Malik.

"Anu Malik's daughter Anmol Malik has been roped in by the studio to supervise all scripts. She will be the one who will sanction scripts and give the green signal for scripts to go ahead. Adi has also brought in his directors to fill the space on the top bracket as he really trusts them. Gunday director Ali Abbas Zafar has been roped in along with Maneesh Sharma and Atul Sabharwal.

Maneesh's proximity to Adi was always known, but now he has been entrusted with the job of looking into the finer aspects that go into the functioning of a studio. Atul, who directed Aurangzeb, is another trusted aide so Adi has brought him on board as well.

These guys will now function as a unit and take all the necessary decisions when it comes to the studio's upcoming projects," our source says.

This new change has been brought about keeping in mind the studio's new vision to promote young talent.

A couple of years ago, they even launched a special division for youth oriented films that were being helmed by young, upcoming directors.

We tried calling Anmol and sent an email to the YRF spokesperson as well, but both remained unavailable for comment.
