This, is not true. Jehangir married a JODH Bai (who came from JODHpur) hence the name. But the fact that Akbar was married to a Jodha/Harkha Bai who was his beloved wife & the MUZ , mother of the Heir, is very certain.
Too many people on this Forum have verified it by intensive research, going into Archives not available to all. I myself have seen portraits & read a few books that aren't available, that are in palace museums.
But another reason for her distortion could've been that she was not blue blooded?
Jodha/Harkha didn't look anything like a Rajputani. She was un-usually fair, with huge black eyes.
But there is another solid fact to consider.. Akbar was most opposed to marrying non-royals...
So I don't know what to believe. I just hope this isn't all true & someone can shed light on this. đ
