*~*Saaiyaan Ve*~*: Part 1

She opens her eyes and finds herself in the hospital…….lying safe, feeling secure, yet tensed that who brought her here!! Pushing the curtains at the door, came in a nurse.

Nurse: Ab kaise ho aap?

The Girl: Mai theek hun nurse. Par mujhe yahan laaya kaun?

Nurse: Vo bahar baithe hain. Police bhi yahiin hai, unhe aapka bayaan chahiye. Kya unhe andar bhej dun?

The Girl: Haan!!! Bhej deejiye.

The inspector enters the room with a guy. He is the one who saved her.

Inspector: Kya naam hai aapka?

The girl was too scared to reveal the truth about her. She had been hiding away for so long and now she didn't know whether she should tell her real name or not.

Inspector: Kya aapko apna naam yaad nahi?

The Girl: Nahi….mera matlab hai!! An…..Anamika.

Inspector: Poora naam?

The Girl: Anamika Verma

Inspector: Aapka accident hua kaise??

The Girl: Pata nahi, I was just strolling down the road aur achanak…….uske aage mujhe kuch yaad nahi.

Inspector: To basically aap yehi kehna chahti hain ki it was just a hit and run case right?

The Girl: (Hesitatingly) Yes…

Inspector: (To the guy) Ok so Mr. Garewall; sorry ki humne aapko rok ke rakha, ab aap jaa sakte hain. (Just as he was about to leave) By the way Ms.Verma, aap apne kisi relative ka number deejiye so that we can inform them about this.

The Girl: Mera koi nahi hai inspector. I'll manage.

The inspector went-off but the guy didn't. Yes……..rightly guessed, that's our hero Rehan Garewall (Rajeev Khandelwal).

Rehan: Hi! I'm Rehan!! Aur aap?

The Girl: I'm Anan……Anamika Verma…….abhi to bataya inspector ke saamne!!

Rehan: Aapne jo bhi bataya, vo jhooth na sahi to sach bhi nahi tha.

The Girl: Ye aap kaise keh sakte hain?

Rehan: Expressions…..haav-bhaav……..yehi study karna aur inhe adapt karna mera pesha hai. I'm a struggling actor!!

The girl didn't know what to say……..this guy who she was meeting for the first time could read her expressions, in contrast to her loved ones who's support was not with her despite of the bonding she had with them.

Rehan: Kahan kho gaye aap?? I'm not forcing you to tell the truth!!

The girl still remained quiet.

Rehan: Seems like mujhe ab nikalna chahiye, given that my job is done.

As Rehan turned to leave, the girl spoke up.

The Girl: Ananya Malhotra (Priyanka Bassi) naam hai mera!!

Rehan turned and smiled.

Rehan: Ek ajnabee ko sach kyun bataya?

Ananya: Us ajnabee ne bhi to ek ajnabee ki jaan bachayi!! (She too smiled)

Rehan: Very smart!!! To ab ye bhi bata do ki accident kaise hua tha?

Ananya remained quiet, her smile disappeared and she turned her face.

Rehan: Hey!! Acha mat batao, dukhi to mat hovo!!!

Ananya: I have no other option….

Rehan: Matlab??

Ananya: Sorry mai aapko vo nahi……..

Rehan: …….Don't worry, I understand. Lekin Kyunki dosti ki shuruvaat ho he chuki hai to please feel free to contact if you need any help.

He wrote down his number on a tissue kept at the side table.

Rehan: Abhi mujhe jaana padegi. Ek audition ke liye jaana hai!! Bye.

As he was about to step out of the room……

Ananya: Rehan…..

Rehan: Haan…..

Ananya: Good Luck!! (She smiled)

Rehan: Thanks……Take Care…….Bye!!

As Rehan left, Ananya's mind was re-directed to the injustice being done to her……her accident……..and all those miseries she had been going through all this while. Just then the nurse came in……..

Nurse: Aap ro rahi ho?

Ananya: Nahi!!

Nurse: Aapko aaraam karna chahiye, thodi der so jaaiye.

Ananya: Neend kahan aayega ab mujhe? (She said softly)

Nurse: Mai aapko ye injection de deti hun. Is se aapko neend bhi aa jayegi.

Ananya didn't say anything and after a while, due to the effect of the medication, she dozed-off.
