An evening at Sneha Kapoor's Institute for the Performing Arts'!

Actor and dancer Sneha Kapoor, who played a pivotal role in Channel V's most popular show Dil Dosti Dance till mid October last year, is now the proud founder of her own dance institute since December 2012! Post Sneha's exit from the show, she began immense planning for this lovely institute of her's, called Sneha Kapoor's Institute for the Performing Arts'. Sneha's team did work on promotions for the institute, but of course didn't really need to do much, as all of Sneha's fans, well wishers and those who had seen her on D3 seemed to have been delighted on receiving this news, after which they all quickly signed up and joined her.

The institute which took up the challenge of "Getting all the Pappu's who think they can't dance, to just dance!", is doing extremely well now, and so urlremoved decided to go pay a surprise visit to Sneha on the weekend.

So when we entered, Sneha who was a bit surprised greeted us warmly, and introduced us to her level 1 students as well as instructors Kajal and Krupa. The batch consisting of one boy and 8 girls, were all dressed up in South Indian wear and the girls with big red bindis too, as they were performing the Tollywood' dance based on Rajnikanth's style representing South Indian cinema, which was very very entertaining to watch! The students along with instructors Kajal and Krupa were in full mood grooving away to Lungi Dance', while Sneha monitored them all. What really made us happy was watching how well Kajal, Krupa and Sneha made the atmosphere around so lively, that even those who weren't too familiar with the steps, just enjoyed themselves getting the wrong ones also right!

Post their Tollywood session, we interacted with the students to get an insight into what exactly made them join SKI', and there was just one answer from them which we too completely agreed with, It's Sneha Kapoor after all'! Besides that, quite a few of them said they used to watch Sneha in D3 as Sharon whom they loved of course, and so on hearing about her own dance institute post the show, they all willingly signed up. The students also shared with us on how awesome Sneha as an instructor is, as well as her team, whom they love learning dance from. Finally, after a few pictures and goodbye's, the level 1 students left for the night.

Soon after the exit of the level 1 students, the level 2 students entered and began with their basic warm up session which was pretty interesting to watch. Once that was over, they moved onto a dance performance which Sneha wanted to watch and monitor, on the song Titli'. The girls looked lovely as they swayed around the room gracefully. Post the dance, they were working on some more styles to build up, but sadly it was time for us to leave. So after introductions and a few pictures with the level 2 students, we bid them all a goodbye. Sneha walked us till the gate getting all the feedback possible, which was positive of course, about how we liked SKI!
