then what would, yaar? I think doing charity work is a sign that shows that you're considerate and care about others. And being considerate.. is definitely is good quality. And wouldn't you want that quality to be present in your role model?

yes i get what everyone is saying but there are some players who will do what they can for kids especially ones that came from poverty themselves.

Children will pick a player to follow lets say flintoff you ask a kid who do you like in english cricket and chances are he will say flintoff, which is fine but then flintoff didnt really set a good example did he when england won the ashes he was in the paper the next day cos he had been on a 9 hour drinking spree. During the ashes he was a brilliant role model but after it he was in the papers for the wrong reasons.

what about linford christie one of the greatet sprinters now has a black mark against his name. dwain chambers banned for drug use.

one of the greatest role models has to be micheal johnson so many medals and not a bad thing against him

yes he did but not only for boxing he did alot for relations between blacks and whites, he always stuck to his beliefs

there will always be some role models that are fantastic for kids then there will be others who will let you down with antics outside of sports
