And no not coz she is becoming a third angle in the PaRud lovestory...but simply coz there is no spunk...no spike in this track at all...
Her involvement almost seems very forced and sort of a nuisance...to me atleast...
I honestly was excited initially upon hearing she is coming back...coz like Mohini...she was supposed to be another catalyst for PaRud to come even more closer...
Today the stitching scene seemed rather baseless from Laila's angle. I mean yeah it was all cute that we got such cute PaRud moment and Laila indeed ended up becoming a cupid for that...but I mean really?? DId Laila honestly think that taking out the button will really give her the chance to sew it back for him? Did she really think Rudra will be totally inviting for that when she already knows how he behaves around her now esp after being married to Paro. Her reasonings were beyond me honestly and this is wat makes the tracks not enjoyable.
I am not telling writers how to do their job...all I am doing is trying to give them a feedback on this Laila track so they can do whatever that is necessary to spike up the story.
Also...Laila constantly barging into PaRud's bedroom is leaving a bad taste in my mouth atleast. The bedroom is just too private for a couple...heck it applies to any couple...and any third person...esp an ex flame entering it randomly just does not sit right with the audience mind. Can we atleast have the CVs take care of that pls?
I really dunno wat it is...and maybe I am lacking in trying to pinpoint exactly what it is...but this Laila track is not really working the way it should have...maybe coz Ankita is just not the right face to play Laila (to me she is too cute and mellowed face)...or maybe her makeup...or her attitude is not villianous enough. Everytime I see her...I feel a certain sympathy for the character of Laila...as though...she should by now have been a helping hand for PaRud against Mohini but instead is just wasting her time trying to be a villian and getting back Rudra. This itself is the wrong vibe from the character. One should be scared and on the edge when they see her. Like oh shoot...wat the hell is she going to do now...oh damn...she is danger! That's the vibe that should be coming off her ...but that aint the case. Also I feel Ankita lacks the screen presence...or maybe that Sanaya and Ashish have it wayyy stronger than her...that they literally eat her up in the scene.
