Shiv is a very good father. Ofcourse it was a negligence on his part that he forgot to pick Amol or inform anyone about it but this can happen with parents who have biological kids as well. I don't think his affection as father could be questioned because of that mistake.

On the contrary Ds always wanted a parpota despite knowing Ganga's situation. N Sumi was all gloomy. Wasn't that a discrimination to mannu?

Atleast no one from Shekhars have talked about pota n parpota since Amol arrived.

In fact Shekhars would be facing more questions from society as to why they adopted a child despite having perfectly healthy son n DIL, yet no one has made fuss about that.

N Amol is perfectly happy in KB environment which shows that every one cares for him

Yes.. It was quite inhuman of BV people the way they behaved in the track...
I doubt if CVs pay any attention to all individual character as in how they are being portrayed, or if there is a sudden drastic change in their behavior or not...
Over the years, only Anandi's character is being taken care of and is being nicely shaped so far.. Rest all dont matter to CV😕

Totally agree @Missesha...your personal time is very important if you have to have a healthy relationship post children...its not that once child comes in your life you love or care less for each other...but then the child becomes the top most priority...
but if then you donot spend quality time as a couple things can start going downhill...
many parents start feeling guilty the moment they think about their personal time, feeling they are neglecting the child. and then slowly this guilt seeps into their own relation as well, all of which is totally unnecessary.
infact leaving child with the grandparents or nanny's (if you dont have family in the same city) for few hours is infact good even for the child. the child learns to be indepedant, take care of herself, bond with others, be social.
else only with parents all the time makes both the child and the parents too much dependant on each other, which after a point is not very healthy i feel.
and having this me time, no where means that you are neglecting the child. infact this gives much more positive energy to you and you spend more happy and gulit free time with your child.
JMHO.

I remember BH people's behaviour very well. And I do not justify it.
But they always behaved nice with Mannu. Bonding with him was there even before bonding with Ganga. Shekhars are clueless whether a child with special needs like Amol is even at home or not.
Just because they did not ask for Shiv Anandi's own child, or start meeting pandits and doctors to know when own padhpota would come, does not mean they are great when they more or less neglect the kid or are only compassionate towards him.

I know parents should have right to take time for themselves. But why ignore the child if you have specifically declared purpose of the outing for the child? It was his time with his parents, his reward as promised by them.
Better go on dinner dates alone than announce outing for kid but remain lost in each other.

How can they even go alone? Who knows who will take care of Amol when they are away?

I never notice affection like own child in scenes with Amol. The vibes are distant and thanda (except with Anandi). This kind of compassion or politeness can be shown even to a relative's or neighbour's kid for a while.

Looks like he was adopted only to fulfil Anandi's wish and to make her happy. Nothing else.

I don't want to comment on the Singh's- Mannu part. But I do think that the Shekars are cool people. Shiv did not experience the responsibility of bringing up a child yet .He didn't have a child of his own...and he got this sudden responsibility of raising some 8years(I assume?) old kid which is sort of difficult. He took over such responsibility willingly and is trying to be responsible which is itself a nice thing.

I guess raising a child has to start stepwise. From the time it is a baby , seeing him/her grow each year. But here this sudden entry of a 8year old child into their lives might cause some such issues. They'll just get used to him , I believe?🤔

Today's episode is proof that Shakhers are well connected with Amol. Such scenes are rare because Singhs are the first family of BV - Shakhers are just Anandi's in-laws.

Today's scenes with Amol were good. But why didn't anyone tell Amol not to feel guilty when he said Yeh sab meri wajah se hua hai?
I agree with points by Alchemist. Maybe the responsibility is too sudden for Shiv which is why he sometimes cannot handle it.
