Je_Aime,
29 pages later, just wanted to write and let you know that I enjoyed your post from last night a lot although I couldn't answer back due to work pressures this morning. I certainly do admire your POV, in fact concur with many of your points and I thank you for your comments on having enjoyed responding to me.
Sheena,
I am no munni basher. I am also no munna camper. In fact my biggest complaint against him these days is very much the same as yours --- paanch saal beet gaye par abhi bhi he has not been able to avenge himself and his humiliation from a two bitty hustler and blackmailer. I would pull ADs revenge track on hold and proceed with reviving Jai Walia if I were the creative lead on the track. He has to finish his unfinished business with Pia before he takes AD on. Until then for me there is no redemption for JW. Today's update gives me some hope. Do you think he will fake amnesia after today's episode and take revenge from Pia by pretending to lose his memory?
Now just for you and Je_Aime, I will recap all the lovely munni moments in my memory. ❤️ You know, I first fell in love with Jai Walia through your munni's eyes. I still remember the time when she prays for her sisters and then adds Mr. Walia inadvertently and then thinks why did she add Mr. Walia to her list "aur yeh mujhe kya ho raha hai" and I was Awww! my baby is falling in love 😉 . That was so endearing. And then after June 19th, when she thinks out aloud "aap ke liye yeh ek galti hogi par mai isi ek pal ke sahare apni poori zindagi bita loongi" and I was floored again. Then again when she flirted so blatantly with him while dancing with Saloni and yet again when he sang that lovely song and she was the only one who clapped. So many lovely moments, so many endearing qualities. And how could I forget those catty jealously scenes between her and Cobra? She was awesome in her romantic jealousies, her human warmth.
Those were the golden days not only because of all the lovey dovey coyness but also because the audience witnessed the process of falling in love, those uncertainities that make us human, the self reflections/dialogues. It is that process that is lost more for Bani Walia than Jai Walia in all current tracks.
I also agree with you that for whatever reason Bani got Jai home, it was exceedingly generous of her to do so. The way she went to get him, that chai scene is one of the finest in my memories. I love Bani for all that and much more.
Just as my one big grouse with JW is that he has not yet been able to avenge himself against his perpetrator, my one big grouse against BW is that I have not yet heard her say that she made a mistake by letting Pia back into her life and that it was her mistake that backfired big time. In the very famous words of George W. Bush (actually he mangled them)
fool me once
shame on you
fool me twice
shame on me.
How is that for balanced reporting 😳?
