Back at the WM, the family priest is reciting the Ramayana in front of Dadi and said how Raja Ram destroyed Ravana with the help of Lakshman and brought Sita back to Ayodhya. The return was marked with celebrations all across the kingdom and this started the trend of celebrating Deepavali in the kingdom and later all across the country. And then Ram Rajya started in which all the subjects led a happy and contented life. However, this happiness was marred when a dhobi questioned Raja Ram about Sita's purity, since she had spent so many years all alone in Ravana's Ashok Vatika, and as such Raja Ram had sought agnipariksha from his wife. Even after the agnipariksha, Raja Ram had not been able to take back Sita who went away to stay in Rishi Valmiki's ashram, where she gave birth to the twins, Luv and Kush. Sita nurtured the kids and became both their Father and Mother and Raja Ram had no clues about his children. It was later during the Ashvamedhh Yagna when the kids fought him over the white horse, that Raja Ram got enthralled with their bravery and valour and found out that they were his sons only. He was overcome with happiness and wanted to meet his wife, whom he never stopped loving, in spite of giving her up for the people of the kingdom. That's why he was called Maryada Purushottam Ram. But when he realized the depth and intensity of his love for Sita, he walked barefoot to meet her and bring her back.
This is taken from Sangi's (as usual fab!!😉) update. And it got me thinking.
Drawing direct parallels, is it just me, or can anyone else see a complete role reversal between the male and female here?
Despite all their past problems and distances, J-B were finally back on track, drawing closer, awaiting the arrival of a new child and looking to the future. 😳 But Sahil's murder put a real spanner in the works, and from there on, the above paragraph seems to be uncannily similar to the happenings in KS these days. 😕
Jai and Bani's happiness was marred when a dhobi (alright, fine, her name is Pia 😡😉) maligned Jai's purity to his wife, Bani, since he had spent one night all alone with her in Dubai (failing to mention of course, that she had drugged him!) and as such Bani (Rani) had sought agnipariksha from her husband…. literally and figuratively if you think about it!!) Even after the agnipariksha, Bani had not been able to take back Jai (I refer to her comment to Rano about his fault in being raped 😭) who went away to stay in Rishi Valmiki's ashram, where he gave birth to the twins, Luv and Kush…. 😕
Hmmmm, no wait, … Jai – who sent Bani to a paagalkhaana due to the machinations of the dhobi, and took her children away from her 😭. Jai (and his Laxmans, Rano/Ranveer 😉 ) nurtured the kids and became both their Father and Mother and Bani (Rani) had no clues about her children 😭. It was later during the badly written kidnapping and even more badly written bleeding footprints episode that Bani (Rani) came to determine the identity of her children and finally see them once more.😃 No white horse was present however, just one Donkey. 😆
And this is far as we have come.
Judging by past precedent and Kekta / NB's lack of originality and imagination 🤢, maybe one day I can hope to read…
"She was overcome with happiness and wanted to meet her husband, whom she never stopped loving, in spite of giving him up for the dhobi. That's why she was called St. Bani (Rani). But when she realized the depth and intensity of her love for Jai, she walked backless-bloused to meet him and re-create June 19th 2007." 😉😳😆
Ok, all jokes and sarcasm aside, the main flow of the story is unfortunately much the same, however, as I said, it appears to be Jai who was tested for sins he had not committed, albeit maybe not because Bani (Rani's) faith was an issue, it's just that the dhobi played a dirtier game than she might have fathomed. 😡
And no, I am not saying that Jai is as innocent and faultless and Sita, nor is Bani as weak and harsh as Ram was in that situation – they are humans, not deities remember. Nevertheless, the gist remains the same.
When this drama started either Kekta or NB said that J-B would be like Ram and Sita, always together but always apart. Seeing their words come true is just a little frightening for a J-B despo, don't you think? 😕

PS. To those who might perhaps call me disrespectful to my religion – I care little for small minds. 😛
PPS. This is NOT a bashing nor biased post – it is a comment on the similarities between KS and this portion of the Ramayana, as was intended by Kekta and her Destructives. If you are still intent on arguing for the sake of it, please yourselves! 🥱
PPPS. I keep saying Bani (Rani) because the priset kept saying Raja Ram. 😆
PPPPS. My opinions as usual, no offence meant! 😊
