How can you be sure of a reunion if they separate at this stage. Absence may make hearts grow fonder. But absence can also kill love and people can simply drift apart, get used to living without the other, and worse they may each keep thinking that the other will take the first step and they should wait. Then the wait can stretch indefinitely.

Besides, there are n number of vultures in Agra who may brainwash/pressure Jalal into forgetting about Jodha and move on.

What do you think?

Saw today's episode just now. Like you said, Jalal has accepted his punishment and is respecting her wishes to go away from him. But he is also determined that come what may, he will win her back.

Sorry for getting back late. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that though allowed her to go to Agra, at the ashram was still pleading her (mentally) to reaturn with him. In the subsequent episodes also, we could see that he was wanting her to go back with him, - this is fair, but right away is where I have my observation and concern. In my humble view, am not sure if that is healthy and the intent of my above post. I feel that she has to be given her space and time for sometime. She needs to recuperate. And Jalal could and should aid her through this process, not by saying go back to Agra, but showing empathy and building her confidence levels through appropriate act. He should win her trust. If we notice, even to Abul Mali he has been saying I need to win her love - but there is no dearth for it anyway.
I am not happy with today's episode, while we got to see both together etc.
And now, Jalal is also accusing her of ego (maybe, may not be - am not getting into that), but there seem to be a failure to empathise with her - state of devastation, lack of trust and fear of repetition.

I don't understand why women all over the world from centuries unknown are always blaimed for all the wrong deeds but never ever credited anything...!!!

Downfall of a kingdom is alwayz laid on a womens head...

(MAHABHARAT(war): DRUPADI FOR INSTANCE and EVEN NUR JAHAN IS HELD

You weaken your own case by adopting a position which is not only extremist but manifestly and demonstrably false. For example, nobody that I know of blames any of these on any woman:

Crucification of Christ;

Assassination of Julius Caesar;

Betrayal and murder of Hussein in Karbala;

Destruction of Baghdad ("progressive Islam") by Mongols;

European Colonialism;

Near-extinction of Native Americans;

Slavery and Racism;

First World War;

Second World War;

Atomic bombing of Japan;

crimes of Hitler, Pol Pot, Al Qaida etc;

Titanic disaster;

Jewish Holocaust;

Hindu Holocaust (~80 million in last millennium);

Assasinations of Lincoln, Gandhi, and JFK ;

Genocides in Armenia, Rwanda, Bosnia, Bangladesh, Southern Sudan, etc.

I could go on and on, but you get the idea. This is a broad scan of human history, not just some cherry-picked region or period.

Have you ever read Mahabharat, even a condensed version? I can't imagine just who holds Dropadi responsible for that war and consequent disasters? Certainly not anyone in his right mind. At a higher plane, that war is depicted as pre-destined in which various people played their cosmically assigned roles. At the human plane, it is normally blamed on Duryodhan, followed by people like Bhishma, Drona, Karna, etc who placed loyalty to their evil king ahead of justice and righteousness. If anything, Dropadi is one of the victims: she lost her son to the war, prior to that was gambled away by her husband, and also suffered the humiliation of attempted disrobing in Duryodhan's court (which was unsuccessful, and is often cited as an example of how God helps His sincere devotees).

We can certainly discuss specific instances where a specific person or group deserves greater credit or blame than others. However, as a general rule, it seems self-evident to me that human civilization is what both men and women have made it, and they are both responsible for its achievements as well as failures. Anything else is petty politics, often facilitated by ignorance.

Hi Kaana,

I think we both should quit saying sorry for being late. we seem to be perpetually following IST. 😆

Yes, while he is truly repentant, he is unable to appreciate just what it is that is hurting her and why she is unable to forgive him despite his repeated entreaties. I am not too bothered about the guroor word. His frustration at not getting her forgiveness is making him say this because he knows she loves him. So he is unable to understand why she is not accepting his apology. Pls see this link - my reply to Diksha's post and you will know where I stood till I saw today's episode.
