I personally feel that dilshad is out of character after the leap. For instance, the way she was talking to Anwar, and specially the way she has brought up Sanam and Haya is totally different from the way she raised asad and najma. I also think that she has been unfair in depriving Haya and Sanam from their rights on the property, even though Haya desperately needs money for her operation . The story that Gul is portraying now is totally cliche and is far from the original concept of Qubool Hai , the setup looks more like a Hindu household than a Muslim . The leap should have portrayed modern ideology since it's 20 years later and not 20 years ago !

Even I felt like Dilshad was a bit out of character at first ... but I think it has to do with culture, she's in a different environment now and has adapted to the Punjabi culture

As for the property, Dilshad is protecting them, Billi is alive... she wants to keep the girls as far away from her and Bhopal as possible ... if Billi finds Dilshad, Sanam and Haya, she may try to kill them too as she did vow to kill everyone from that household ... so Dilshad hasnt gone back to Bhopal to claim her properties for safety reasons ... besides Dilshad is an independent woman, if her house gets turned upside down, she keeps her head high and starts over with very little help from others

Yes i too felt the same.Dilshad was very modern. She would never tell her grand daughter to marry a person she has'nt seen. She encouraged asya romance. Also her way of speaking has changed.she used to speak good english and now there is not a single word of english when she speaks.the household looks punjabi and sanam looks punjabi.they have a black telephone from the 80's era,Sanam does'nt have a mobile

Glad to know I'm not the only one who feels Gul has changed this into a completely different show. This doesn't even look like qubool hai anymore and looks more like another show
