Can I just say how much I LOVE this graphics Partner? So very dreamy, I can stare at them all day long So what if I'm 18? A girl is always a kid at heart <3 Who doesn't love fairy tales
No! Let's scratch that. [back space, back space, back space.]
Gunia: "Shifu, what are you trying to do?"Shifali looked up from her laptop screen to see her daughter Preet, her friend, Asma and her husband, Gunia walk in. The thing I LOVED, all of us in one placeShifali: "Trying to write."Preet: "Really? What kind of story is it?"Shifali: "A fairytale..."Asma: "Ew. That's so...old fashioned."Shifali: "You didn't let me finish! A fairytale with a hint of present. The story is one of a kind. Imagine -Cinderella meets the hardships of University life." RealityGunia: "Nice. But weren't you have like a writer's block...for the past 2 years or so?" HAHA! I've had writer's block on my very first story.. for like 6 years now? Still not over that.Shifali: "Can we not talk about that? And for your information, I've gotten past my writer's block. And now, if you want this story finished, you need to leave me alone. So get out."Preet: Okay, mummy! And with that, Preet dragged Gunia and Asma out of the room. After they had left, Shifali went back to writing the story of her modern-day Cinderella and smiled when she thought about the inspiration behind her story.
She walked towards University of Storybrooke and towards the Theatre. Her pink ruffled gown dragged on the floor behind her. No, she wasn't a princess who had been magically poofed into the future. She was a student, struggling to do well in school. The irony 😆 😳
She was a student who was struggling to pass university with a decent GPA. And she was a student who had listened to her friend's advice and took up drama as an elective.
Drama? She disliked drama. Okay -not watching it. She loved watching her beloved Indian TV Shows -especially the new show Beintehaa. And Zain...O-M-G. Zain from Beintehaa was her husband -in her dreams. Holy, what?! 😲 🤣 This made me widen my eyes and then start ROFL 🤣 I loved this Shifu 😆
And that was why she was still an integral part of this only fangirl site called India-forums. Okay she lied. She had started going on this site in December of 2010. And slowly, she had risen in the ranks of popularity and become a Coolbie for Dil Dosti Dance, before becoming a BollyCurry Screen Writer and Crazy Creative along with being promoted to the position for Cool Viewbie.
Oh, and back to the present. If taking up Drama wasn't enough. She was now required to act in a play. And what play? Not the crappy Shakespeare plays -thank god. It was Cinderella. And hence her pink gown. Today was supposed to be the day where they started practising the play. I SWEAR, being a part of the play is HORRIBLE! 'Cuz, ofcourse, I am impatient and waiting on other people sucks. Anyway, atleast it's a play so it's live & not a movie or short film. Those are the worst to act in. PEOPLE 😳 😆
And did you guys know the worst part yet? No. She was going to have to dance. She loved dancing -in private -in the bathroom, in her room -like Kajol from DDLJ and never in public. And not in a gown nonetheless...
Preet burst into the room and surprised Shifali. "Hurry up! It's time!" Shifali and Preet ran outside in the living room and hid behind the couch.
The front door opened and in walked in Cinderella...their little Princess.
Shifali, Preet, Gunia, Deetha and Asma get up from behind the couch and jump up in joy. "SURPRISE!"
Everyone took turns hugging Khushi, while Shifali stood behind, smiling at the one person who had inspired her to write the story. Was the story true? Maybe. Parts of it were, but it was up to the readers to decipher which parts were fiction and which were non-fiction. And till then, she was going to just celebrate Khushi's birthday -with the rest of the world.
Happy Birthday Khushi!
You just turned...nope. Not telling! hehe 😳
Preet, Asma, Gunia, Deetha and I would like to take this time and wish you all the love and friends and kisses and all the sappy stuff which people normally say during someone's birthday. But most importantly, thank you for being an awesome person and an awesome and friendly being. We hope that there are many more birthdays to come for you. And for you to get all the happiness in the world -okay, not all. Save some for the others too! But you get the point!
Aww, thank you guys! Shifu, haha, the last part. Ofcourse, I'll only snatch our share and we can all divide & conquer to enjoy <3 Thank you so much for this lovely write-up. It couldn't have been any more perfect. You lot is the set of best friends anyone would be lucky to have!
And now, off to the non-cooler birthday wishes and birthday presents! Trust me, ours is better! I do not doubt that for a second ;)
Love,Shifali, Gunia, Preet, Asma, Deetha and a Bajillion of your Friends!
