Are Deepika and Sonam the new Shahrukh -Salman of Bollywood?

In the third season of KJo's chat show, the two beauties shared the controversial Koffee couch courtesy a certain Ranbir Kapoor. We all remember that KWK episode pretty clearly. But Sonam and Dippy no longer share that friendly vibe. In fact, the two are jaani dushman of sorts at the moment...

Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor started their filmi career together. While the former has managed to establish herself as an actor, the latter still has a long way to go in Bollywood. Check out their career graph and you'll agree with us. So technically these two can't be pitted against each other coz Sonam is still struggling like a new comer, hai na? But we all know this fashionista is high on confidence and therefore considers Ms Padukone her competitor. Well, Ranveer Singh's alleged ladylove has nothing to worry and we are sure she isn't threatened too. After all, when you're good at what you do, you don't think about your contemporaries. While the war betweenSonam and Deepika is out in the open, we wonder why the two agreed to come on Koffee with Karan together last year.

If you think a little hard, back then the Kapoor lass had hardly any good projects in her kitty. And being an actor you need to be in the news. So the KWK stint turned out to be good for theBewakoofiyaan starlet in that sense. Also, she got a chance to bash up Ranboo with once-upon-a-time dost Dippy. Wasn't a bad deal for Sonam, right? However, things have changed professionally for the self proclaimed fashion icon. Sanjay Leela Bhansali's protg is doing a film opposite Salman Khan for which DP was being considered and she will also be seen in Arbaaz Khan's next production venture Dolly Ki Doli which was initially offered to Katrina Kaif. Now that Raanjhanaaactor is back in the race, she no longer wants to be miss-goody-two-shoes with the Ram-Leela actor wethinks. Isn't that the reason why she took potshots at the dusky beauty on Karan Johar's chat show this year? Or else why would all of a sudden Sonam Kapoor get catty towards her one time good friend Deepika Padukone. Last year when the Kapoor girl threw a birthday bash for her cousin Arjun Kapoor, the Cocktail actor was present. But this year we won't be surprised if Dippy isn't on Sonam's guest list.

PS: Sonam-Deepika's kabhi-dosti-kabhi-dushmani equation does remind us of Shahrukh Khan-Salman's estranged friendship, no?
