He must've had tonnes of meat, wine & women & enough of Jodha & Ruqaiyya, that by that time middle age hit him; he would've thought it's best to become vegetarian. 😆

Hmmm.. great interesting post... am seeing this long time post for the first time here. Thanks. Very nice.

So, that sweet that Jehangir named after himself was "jhangiri" we use to relish in south india. That is called jalebi in the north. wow..!! interesting.

I think apart from becoming vegetarian later in his life was not only due to Jain or great swamijis influence. I remember reading that he also suffered from some stomach problem / pain... probably ulcer during those times. He eventually died also because of this stomach issues, i guess.
