DECEPTION - A SINISTER BETRAYAL

Sorry about this but I will be re-posting the first 2 chapters. The reason behind this is that I will now be posting the story under one file. THIS FILE !!!!!! And as far as I know I promise that this will be the last time any changes will be made to this story.

So now enjoy !!!!!!!!

For those of you who don't know about the story, I can only tell you this, that the story will be a thriller/murder mystery, with plenty of shocking twists and also don't worry about the pace of the story, because I will try my very best not to drag the story too much.

Plus in this story there's gonna be -:

Action
Comedy
Friendship
Love (Also 1 Love Triangle)

One person will go to prison for a murder. All evidence will be against them, including the victim, who dies. There won't be a double role or anything. But the question will be whether or not that person comitted the crime or not.

I haven't actually written the ending yet. I have a brief idea about what will happen. However in the last chapter there will be a leap..... its not going to be your typical Ekta leap, so it won't be like years leap, it will be a small leap. I think this leap will be neccesary for the ending of the story.

Some of the cast members will be from dramas and movies and some will be just made up.

Hi Everyone!

This is a story that I've been working on, for quite sometime. Its a murder mystery/thriller. Some of you have already read this and have told me to post it as they think its good. So I'm posting it on this forum. I have already posted this before, but now I have re-posted the story with a new title.

However please bear with me, as I am re-posting Chapter 1 and will post part or the whole of Chapter 2, later on today.

P.S. If any of you have any ideas as to what should happen next in story or anything that should be changed then feel free to PM me and let me know or just post a reply in this topic.

Chapter 1 Part 1




It had been almost a year since what had happened. The memory of that horrifying incident had followed Sean. It haunted him. That one incident had taken away all reality.
Even now, Sean could still see Sarah, in that frightful state. He could still see, her hand shaking in fear and her finger pointing towards him, accusing him of a crime he didn't even commit.
Because of this one incident, everyone that Sean had known, his family and his friends had turned against him, leaving him on his own.
What hurt him the most, was when Amanda refused to believe him and reminded him that he was never part of the family.
Even Nicola, the girl of his dreams, had hurt him in such a way, that he was left with nothing. Because of this pain, he was left broken from the inside. He had no feelings and no emotions. He didn't know what or how to feel anymore.
Nothing seemed to be clear to Sean; he didn't know what to do or where to go.
It was then that, an old friend, Nisha, who believed in him, came to his aid. She convinced him to come with her and get away from everything and start a new life. At first Sean was reluctant to go with Nisha, because he was afraid of getting hurt again. But Nisha convinced him, that she believed him and that she wouldn't hurt him like everyone else had done.

Sean had now moved on with his life, although no matter how hard he tried he just couldn't forget about the past. Even now he just stared up at the sky, while looking back at his past. It wasn't just tonight. Just about every night Sean would go up to the mountains and look back at his past and ask himself, if all of the good times were just one big happy dream. But then it would all come back to him, telling him that everything was just a faade.

In a way, the moon reminded him of him self. It just glowed, all on its own, up in the dark, motionless sky. Sean just stared at all of the places where the stars used to be.
"Looks like the stars have deserted you, like my friends had deserted me"
Tears started to form in his eyes, rolling down his face. The moonlight reflected from them. He just sat there on a rough, cold patch on the ground and just thought to himself.

"So much of my life has passed by, but it feels as if I haven't even lived a moment of it. I haven't got any friends. Even when it gets dark, my shadow leaves me alone. I'm all alone like you. It's only just you, me and my loneliness"

Instantly Sean broke away from his thoughts, because he started to get the feeling that someone was approaching him from behind. But he already knew who it was, as he had already felt that presence before. The atmosphere indicated to him that it was a presence from his past. It was a presence for whom he held so much hatred inside himself. It was Amanda.
"Why have you come here?" asked Sean, with hatred.
Amanda could sense how much Sean hated her, for what she did to him and what she had said, in the past. She could tell that even now he still remembers the past. Sean just stood there with his back turned against her. She didn't know where to start or what to say.
"I…I…I've come to take you back", her voice quivered.
"Well I don't think you have that right anymore".
Amanda could easily sense the coldness and bitterness in his reply. His voice was as cold as the air, up in the mountains.
Tears started to form in her eyes. She could feel her heart breaking, while she remembered the past.
"I…I...know what I did and what I said was wrong, but…."
Instantly Sean broke her off. "So what are you doing here anyway?"
"I've come to take my brother back home"
Just by hearing the word 'brother', Sean went into flashback, trying to remember a time where Amanda treated him like a brother.
"I don't even think, that in your whole life you have ever considered me as your brother"
Amanda knew that, what ever Sean was saying, he was right. Neither could she remember a time, where she was there for Sean. Maybe it was the fact that he was adopted and not her real brother, what made her hate him. However it was now that she had realised that she was wrong.
"I know that I was wrong and I'm sorry"
"You know as far as I can remember…whenever I needed you, you just pushed me away from yourself"
All Sean could think about was all of the times when he needed her, but she wasn't there for him. When their parents were alive, they trusted him and believed, no matter what anyone said. All they did was just look into his eyes and they would get their answer.
More tears started to form in his eyes as he remembered his parents. But then the realisation that Amanda was still here, bought him back.
This time he turned around and saw her standing there in the darkness. He could barely make out her face. She was camouflaged by the darkness.
"Can I ask you one question?" asked Sean.
"Of course" replied Amanda. For some reason Amanda started to get the feeling that there was still hope for Sean to come back with her. Her heart started to feel at ease.

"What did I do wrong?"
The question caught Amanda by surprise.
"What?"
"I must have done something wrong, which made you hate me so much"
The reply also caught Amanda by surprise. She didn't know what to say, because inside herself she knew that neither of this was Sean's fault.
"You didn't do anything…"
"Well then…why did you treat me like that?"
Amanda could still feel the same coldness in Sean's voice, which was there before. He wanted answers. But Amanda didn't have them. She was so confused and full of guilt.
"I don't know what to say…all I can say is that, I'm sorry"
The apology didn't seem to take any effect on Sean. He just didn't want to go back. Inside he had convinced himself, that there was nothing left for him to go back to. He just wanted Amanda to go away and to leave him alone.
"Well, you've said it, so now you can go back"
"Sean, I know I can't bring back the past, but if I could I would take back everything that I said"
"Well you can't, so just leave"
It was then that Amanda remembered what their father always used to say to them, whenever they were feeling down or depressed.
"Moments come and go from our lives and our life is small and unpredictable. But when we realise it, it is too late" By looking at Sean, Amanda knew that even now Sean hadn't forgotten what their parents used to say. She could see that the memories were starting to affect him. So she carried on. "We should forget our bad moments and must remember only the good ones"
Sean had now just about had enough. The memories started to confuse him. He started to lose control over his mind. He didn't know what to do. He couldn't think of any good memories.
"That's the problem though…as far as I can remember, you have only given me bad memories" Sean sighed. "So how do you expect me to remember any good ones?" His voice started to quiver. Amanda could tell that this was affecting Sean. She had the feeling that any minute now, Sean would break down and decide to come back with her. So she started to walk towards him.
"Like you if I would also live thinking about only the bad moments, then I would also have only bitterness and hatred in my life" Her voice started to soften. She tried to walk up to him and try to comfort him. While at the same time tears were rolling continuously from her eyes. From where she was approaching Sean, she could see that he was also crying. She just wanted to bring him back home and rectify her mistakes.
Sean just stood there, in front of her, staring at the ground.
"Sarah was supposed to be my friend. So why did she do it?"
All of the memories came back to him. Everything about the past had once again come back to haunt him. While at the same time he noticed that Amanda was slowly approaching him. All of that hatred had come back, into him.
"No! – Don't you dare come anywhere near me?" yelled Sean.
Amanda could sense that the hatred that he had before, had now returned. She could see it in his eyes. Now that she was closer to him, she could see pain and hatred in his bloodshot eyes.
"I needed you, but you pushed me away!" The closer Amanda got to Sean the more she could see, how hurt he was, because of the past and that she was also partly to blame for it.
"I understand how you feel" said Amanda, as she put her hand on Sean's shoulder, trying to assure him that everything was going to be fine now. But instantly he just brushed her hand off his shoulder.
"How well do you understand my feelings?" asked Sean, as he just stared at Amanda. She could clearly see in his eyes, that he wanted answers. It wasn't just her that he wanted answers from. Sean was asking the same question from his fate.
"For the first time, I fell in love and she betrayed me"
Sean could feel his heart break again, when he thought about Nicola. All he could think about was all of the good times and then that would all go away and he would just remember everything that he heard her say.
Amanda just stood there staring at him and listening to everything that he had to say. She wanted everything that he kept inside himself to come out.
"I overheard Nicola saying that she was just using me and that she wouldn't want anything to do with a rapist". At this very moment the feeling that he had before had come back to him. He started to feel broken from inside of himself.
"You don't even know how that feels?" There was a brief silence in between. All that could be heard was the cool breeze, which was soaring about in the air.
"You know it wasn't because of the fact that she believed what I was accused of, that hurt me…she said that she was just using me, that's what hurt me…I loved her and she hurt me"
Amanda was shocked at what she was hearing. It made her feel even guiltier. Sean had never mentioned to her that he loved Nicola. But why should he have ever mentioned to her about his feelings for Nicola. She was never there for him. Whenever he needed her, she was never there for him.
Sean just turned his back to Amanda and looked up at the sky. He waved both of his hands through his sweaty, dark brown hair and sighed.
"I thought that at least both of you would believe me"
Amanda just started to get the feeling there wasn't any hope at all of bringing Sean back with her. She could sense that he was full of hatred and bitterness towards his past and whoever was associated with it. She felt like walking away and leaving Sean to get on with his new life, but there was something inside her, what made her stop in her tracks.
"You were proven innocent – so why didn't you come back?" asked Amanda.
"What was there to come back to…more heartbreaking and pain" replied Sean.
Amanda knew that she was partly to blame for the heartbreaking and pain, that Sean had suffered in the past and is still suffering from.
"I don't deny that whatever I said was wrong, it's just that…."
Instantly Sean cut her off. "Forget whatever you did - I ended up losing everything and everyone…I lost my family, friends, my love, my confidence and my self – esteem. In any condition it was me who had to bear the losses"
"I know Sean…."
Once again he didn't let Amanda finish what she was saying. "My sisters – Rebecca and Samantha, they believed me, but you still took them away from me…so what's left for me to come back to?"
"Me – I want my brother back" replied Amanda.
Just by hearing the word 'brother', it made Sean instantly turn around in anger.
"Don't utter this word!" yelled Sean. "It doesn't even suit you!"

This time what Sean had said, hurt Amanda. She felt pain in her heart. She knew she had no-one else to blame apart from herself.
"I...I…I'm sorry, I don't know, what I can say that will make you believe me"
Sean just grabbed hold of Amanda. He just held her arms tightly and just stared at her,
with disgust.
"Look at you! – You're just being selfish! ...You're only talking about yourself!"
And then Sean let go of her and turned away.
"If loving your own is being selfish, then yes I'm being selfish" said Amanda, as she burst into tears. They were forming continuously in her eyes. Sean could hear her cry. There was a part of him that wanted to go to her and comfort her. But the past was still inside him. It prevented him from going to her. He just stood there waiting for her to calm down.
"Let me ask you one question?"
Amanda just looked up as she wiped her tears away, with the sleeve of her jacket.
"Love which is not expressed, is that not love?"
The question just caught her by surprise.
"Of course it's love" replied Amanda.
"But love that one cannot feel, that love isn't love and as far as I can remember I have never felt your love" said Sean, as he tried to remember a time when he felt Amanda's love for him.
"You are right, maybe there was some fault in the way I expressed my love and with me coming here, you can consider this as, me being helpless or my way of expressing my love"
There was another pause. Only this time there was a longer pause than before. Sean just stood there, thinking about what Amanda had said to him. Is this her way of expressing her love or she just being selfish. Sean was so confused he didn't know what to do. He just couldn't forget about the past. He was just afraid of getting hurt again. He just wanted to get away from this place.
Where as Amanda just stood there, full of pain and guilt just staring at him. Waiting for Sean to turn around and say something. Even though she had a feeling that it was virtually impossible to bring Sean back home, she didn't want to give up. She still believed that there was a small hope that he would agree to come back.
"Please come home?" asked Amanda.

"Which home?" replied Sean, as he turned around to face her.
"Don't say this!" cried Amanda, as she finally realised that the final hope that she had held onto had vanquished.
"Why shouldn't I say this? - What have you given me except pain?" yelled Sean as his past flashed before his eyes. "The house that you are talking about, you insulted me and threw me out"
Amanda had finally given up and was about to walk away, when she just stopped in her tracks and turned towards Sean and said, "I…I…didn't mean to hurt you in anyway".
However Sean didn't hear what Amanda had said. His mind was blinded by anger and pain. He just couldn't think straight. All he could say was whatever that was coming into his mind, whether it hurt Amanda or not, it didn't matter to him.
"After the incident, instead of wiping my tears, you kicked me away and now you expect me to come back with you?"
"I know you can't forget the past"
Sean knew that Amanda was right. That it was impossible to forget about the past. No matter what Amanda said to him, he just couldn't forgive her or come back with her. All he wanted was for Amanda to leave him alone. He just clinched his fists really tightly while trying to control his anger. But it was no use. He just instantly turned around and faced Amanda.
"You're right, I can't forget the past, that's why I was alone, I am alone and I want to be alone - So just leave me alone!" yelled Sean, as he fell down onto his knees and cried.
Amanda also got down onto her knees and cried. She tried to hug him and comfort him. But Sean stopped her, before her arms even reached him.
"Can't you see what you're doing to me…please, just go away…leave me alone"
All Amanda could see as she looked into his eyes was that she had opened up old wounds that Sean had tried to keep hidden deep within himself. She didn't want to hurt him anymore, like she had done previously. So she just got up and walked away. Sean looked up and saw her vanish into the darkness. There was a part of him that cried to him, telling him to get up and call her back, but there was another part of him that stopped him. He just sat there on the ground and cried out loud. Whether or not Amanda heard him cry or not, it didn't matter to him. He knew that even though if Amanda came back, he'd still tell her to go away.

Several minutes had gone by and still Sean sat there crying, remembering everything that Amanda had said to him. But then something distracted Sean. He could hear footsteps behind him and the gravel crunching beneath each footstep. For a minute Sean thought that Amanda had come back. But then he felt a familiar hand rest on his shoulder.

It was the hand that had been there for him, ever since the incident. It was the hand that reached out to him when all others had neglected him. Sean just looked up and saw Nisha standing behind him. Her brown eyes showed the love and warmth that Sean wanted in a friend. Instantly he got up and hugged her.
"Nisha, thank you for coming here"
What Sean had said, got Nisha worried. He sounded so sad and helpless. She waited for him to calm down, before she could ask him anything.
"Sean, where were you – we were worried?"
As they walked away Sean told Nisha everything about what had happened. Like always Nisha listened to everything what Sean was saying. She could sense how hurt Sean was. But at the same time she wanted Sean to forgive Amanda and go back to his family. She always believed that you cannot change the past and that there was no point in clinging onto the past. You need to move forward in life.

"What time do you call this?" asked Di angrily, as Nisha and Sean walked into the house. Di is Nisha's elder cousin and the owner of the house. Even though Di's parents have got a huge house, Di wants to be independent; therefore she has her own house and a job as a computer graphics designer.
She just stood there, staring at both Nisha and Sean, waiting for a reply. While at the same time she just kept on stroking her long blonde hair away from her face.
"Now isn't a good time to be asking questions" replied Nisha, on Sean's behalf.
"What do you mean now isn't time…I've been worried sick about you Sean…I even sent out Nisha to find you and why have you got your phone switched off?" yelled Di.
Sean could sense how much Di cared about him. He thought to himself – why couldn't Amanda show this much concern to him, in the past.
"I'll explain everything to you later, Di" Nisha then turned towards Sean. "Do you want something to eat?"
Sean just shrugged and waved his hand through his hair. It felt rough and sweaty.
"I don't feel hungry…I think I'm just going to have a shower and then get some sleep" He just turned around and took off his jacket and was about to head upstairs when Nisha stopped him.
"Are you okay?"
Sean just turned around and replied, "Yes – I'm fine".

Throughout the night, Sean couldn't go to sleep. He just stood in front of the bedroom window and stared outside. Everything that Amanda had said was haunting him. It started to make him feel guilty. He started to ask himself, whether or not he should have gone with her. All he could think about was, Amanda and their past.
Sean pulled himself away from the window when he heard a sound behind him. A floorboard creaked and a footstep. Instantly Sean spun around and saw someone move by the doorway.
"Nisha", Sean whispered.
"It's me", replied Di, as she moved towards Sean. The moonlight revealed her worried expression. "What's wrong? I heard you walking around in here."
Sean sighed. "It's nothing"
Di put her hand on Sean's shoulder and said, "Nisha told me everything."
Sean just turned around and walked back to the window and looked outside. There was a brief silence and then Sean said, "I…don't want to talk about it"
"Why – didn't you tell me, what happened?" asked Di, as she also walked towards the window and stared outside.
"I just don't want to talk about it…I want to forget about everything what has happened"
Di always cared about Nisha and Sean, although everything wasn't as smooth, in the past, as they are now. She put her arm around Sean and said, "If you want to talk about it…I am here, you know"
For the first time tonight, Di saw Sean smile very briefly, but at the same time she saw tears forming in his eyes. She couldn't stand to see anyone upset, that she knew and cared for.
"What's wrong now?"
"Why…why couldn't Amanda care about me as much as you do?" replied Sean. He just turned and hugged her. He could feel how much Di cared about, just by hugging her. Like Nisha, she had always been there for him.
"You know, as seen as neither of us can't go to sleep…we might as well go downstairs…there's a good movie on tonight" said Di, as she pulled herself away from Sean.
Sean hesitantly agreed to go downstairs with Di.

By the time the movie had finished, Di had fallen asleep, while Sean was still awake. He thought that the movie might take his mind off things, but it didn't. He didn't pay much attention to the movie. All he could think about was Amanda. He could still see her crying.

Days had turned into weeks and the topic about Amanda or Sean's past was never mentioned again. It had been almost a month since Sean saw Amanda. Now Sean looked and felt a lot better. He was back to himself again; getting on with his life. Although no matter how hard he tried to be normal, Nisha and Di knew that he still hadn't forgotten anything about what had happened. He was still hurt from the inside.
"Hey – Nisha…the movie is about start!" yelled Sean, from the living room. Nisha quickly hurried into the room with some popcorn, just in time as the opening credits had just started.
"Knock! – Knock!"
The knocking on the door jolted Sean and Nisha from their movie atmosphere.
"Who could this be, at this time?" wondered Nisha, as she stared at the clock. It was 1:00 in the morning. She got up and went to the door. Sean also got up but he went to get a drink. But when he came back, he was shocked at what he saw. Samantha was standing with Nisha, in the middle of the living room. Tears were rolling down her face and she was crying. Immediately she ran towards Sean and hugged him tightly. She just didn't want to let go of him. Although Sean hated Amanda for what she did, he never hated Samantha. She was his little sister. Sean tried to assure her that she was safe, but she just kept on continuously crying. Something had definitely happened and it began to worry Sean.

Chapter 2 Part 1



It had taken a while for Samantha to calm down, although the tears just continuously kept on flowing from her eyes. She just sat down on the sofa, with her head resting against Sean's arm. She didn't even say a word. All that Sean and Nisha could hear, was Samantha sobbing.

As Sean assured Samantha, that she was fine, Nisha walked into the kitchen and came back with a glass of water.
"Here drink this" said Nisha as she passed a glass of water. Samantha refused it, but then Sean took the glass and gave it to her. She took a few sips and then gave it back to Sean.
"Now tell me what's happened" asked Sean.
Samantha didn't say anything, she just looked down at the floor, reflecting on everything that had happened, everything thing that she had endured.
"Samantha…Samantha…look at me"
But Samantha didn't move or anything she just sat there like a statue. It was like as if her whole life had left her.
Tears started to form in Sean's eyes, by looking at the state of Samantha. He lifted her face towards him, so she looked at him. But then she burst into tears again and hugged Sean tightly.
"Please come back Sean…We –we need you!"
Again Sean tried to assure her that she was safe.
"You're safe…I'm here… nothing will happen to you – now tell me what's happened?"

Sean and Nisha just sat there, while Samantha told everything to Sean. By the time Samantha had finished, Sean's eyes were fuming with anger. Instantly he got up and headed towards the front door. But Nisha stopped him.
"Where are you going?"
"You know where I'm going!" shouted Sean.
But still Nisha didn't move, she still stood in his way trying to stop him, from doing anything drastically.
"No - calm down… I know how you're feeling, but don't do anything stupid"
Sean just stared at her and at Samantha. He didn't know what he was angry at. He was asking himself, was it cause of what had happened or was it cause he refused to come back with Amanda.
"You know me, don't you" said Sean.
"That's what I'm worried about" replied Nisha, as she knew what Sean was capable of now. Since what had happened in the past, Sean had changed so much. He wasn't the same quite Sean.
"I agree with you being so angry, if it was me I'd probably do the same… but think about Samantha, she needs you with her"
In a way Sean knew that what Nisha was saying was right. If he did anything rationally, it could worsen the situation, as if the situation wasn't bad enough. Sean stared at Samantha and could clearly see that she also agreed with Nisha.
"I won't do anything stupid" said Sean as he looked at Samantha and then he looked at Nisha, who was still standing in front of the door. "Just take care of Samantha for me"
"No… I want to come with you" said Samantha.
Sean went up to Samantha and put his arms around her and hugged her.
"I want you to stay here with Nisha, you will be safe…don't worry I will be back"
Sean then headed out of the front door, but then stopped and turned towards Nisha.
"Take care of her"
Nisha could tell how much Samantha meant to him, because it was the third time or so, that Sean had told her to take care of Samantha.
"Don't worry I will take care of her" replied Nisha, as she saw Sean, get into his car and watched him drive away.
