Katrina skips Cannes for Ranbir Kapoor

Actor won't attend the film festival as her alleged boyfriend's maiden production goes on the floors around the same time

Katrina Kaif seems to have made her choice. Apparently, she's chosen love over everything else. The actor, who is one of the Indian faces of a leading cosmetic brand, has been invited to attend the Cannes Film Festival this year. But she will apparently give it a miss because the shoot of her alleged boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor's first production is clashing with the international event.

"When Katrina received the invitation, she was seriously considering going, as Cannes is one of the most prestigious film events and you get to share the stage with several big names from across the world. But she decided against going as she doesn't want to disrupt the schedule of her film," says a source close to Katrina. "Ranbir is involved in this movie not only as a producer, but also as the lead actor opposite Katrina, so this film is very important to both of them," adds the insider.

The Cannes Film Festival is set to begin on May 14, and the actors will start shooting for the Anurag Basudirected film around the same time. "Since it is being touted as a big project, Katrina doesn't want to miss out on anything, nor does she want the makers to rework the dates and complicate things further," says the source.

LOL I doubt she was invited.

If she was then as an ambassador of L'Oreal she would be obliged to go, the least she would do was make an appearance.

Whoever has written this article, Do you really expect anyone with even a single brain cell to believe this?

It is a 6 hr flight to france, include everything you can still attend and come back in at most 2 days. there are thousand things that can be done in a movie for 2 days without Katrina being present.

The big question is, why somebody wants to spread such news.

Even bigger question is, even if they have some secret motive to spread this news, why they hire such dumb writers to write these baseless stories.

she's basically too cool for cannes and being india's biggest female star that she is, can afford to give it a miss

Because Katrina skipped Cannes. A big international movie festival that attracts millions that would love to take her picture. She has done it all because she is in love. Dutiful
