"The Incredibles" - Asha Bhosle's USA tour with Sonu Nigam, Kunal Ganjawala and Kailash Kher begins today with concert in San Fransisco bay area, California, today. I am going to this concert and will post my review here. If anyone else is from this area is going to this concert, please post your reviews/update in this thread.

I think it was 12- years back when I went to Ashaji's live concert last. At that time a boyish looking 21 year old energetic male singer was in Asha-ji's troup. He was totally unknown to most of us. She introduced him as Sonu Nigam. It was there that I heard Sonu's name for the first time. He sang few of Rafi saab's songs but the song that got him highest applause, I think, was -- Manna Dey's laga chunari mein daag. I remenber Asha Bhosle telling us about him -- yeh bahut chhota hai, ekkis saal ka baccha, mere pote jaisa hai....

I think it was few years after that when Sonu started compering SRGM and the rest, as they say, is history....

Dont get your hopes up regards Ashaji's singing her own golden melodies. A few years ago I went to her concert and she barely was able to sing her own songs.

Nice to see you back Vinit😛 They are coming to Canada too and I was contemplating going to the concert. Why was she able to barely sing when you went to hear her? Perhaps the touring did not suit her at that time kya? I was hoping that she would sing her old nos. too.😊

they had a problem with the AC that day, but I think Ashaji has lived and sung without a AC blowing. I felt perhaps she is at a age where she should not sing live anymore.

Think of it this way Sunil Gavaskar was a great player of pace, but now if you put in front of S Akhtar at today's time, he wont be able to catch up, you should not do certain things to keep up your own reputation

at the very least, dont play, Asha's greatest hits while driving to the concert😉

Right... see, 'ji' is fine.. but 'didi' to a woman 50 years older than you, who considers you like her pota 😕

And that's the same for men.. I would never go to a person my grandfather's age and call him bhaiya..
