I mean he may be in love but still retain enough sense to know that he should talk to her plainly about what is troubling him. But here, he seems to be getting "emotional" or like someone said, turning it into an ego stand that she should come clean of her own without his asking. At any rate, his mental faculties seem to have left him. 😕

He is hurting himself and Jodha in the process. What do you say?

Jalal very clearly knows he has someone so special so rare in Jodha that he is scared to lose her. He has 5,000 in his haram, but he knows even if he can add 5,000 more he might not get another Jodha.

When he married her he did not know the person, only her beauty which mesmerized him, as he got to know her more and more he realized he might never get another like her in his life. She is not impressed by his power, his empire, does not want anything from him - he realized if he has to make her want him, he has to become into someone she will want. He did not even do that knowingly and best part is she did not ask him to change.

So the fear of losing the only woman - who can make him forget everything, who brings out the best in him, who can only care about the man not his status and only one who can make him happy is making him go crazy.

Entire Ben track he never had a real smile on his face, same now he has lost it again. Nowadays he is truly only happy when he has Jodha by his side and they are on good terms.

Fear of losing all this and scared that she may never feel for him what he feels for her - he is going crazy. If only he stopped going to MA & Rukayya but went to HB and SB instead!

Hi Medha,

I am speechless. This is a gem of a post from you. Love every word of it because it's all so true. Wanted to highlight what I liked (see bold) but then I realized I would have to highlight every word. So gave up. 😆

Take a bow, my dear, you made my day 👏

And after all this how can Jodha feel any confident about her place in his life.
Rukayya who told her at first meeting that Jalal will spend one night with her and then throw her in haram forgotten!

Jalal is going to confide his love, in hatred but confide! Still more than his doubting her - that she will eventually understand he did it out of his love and jealousy or the circumstances presented to him - what will shake her and make her go again in her shell is his throwing her out!

He did not even bother to say will send you to Amer or I will make arrangement for your elsewhere, he told her to walk off from his life in the dead of night! A queen!

He has to do lot to earn her trust for this act. If he went on bended knees for this and for saying to MA - he doubts if she was ever wafadar to him?! - you deserve to be on your knees!

Ow thanks Radhika. You have got everyone thinking!

Now hope next week we get a thread that makes everyone think about Jodha's POV.

BTW Cleo had made an absolutely super post on Jodha - it was in November when Jodha was comparatively new in Agra but it still applies.

If you check my last Sunday favorites thread will find links to it. Abhay dug it up, I was not active on forum so had not read it and many others too.

I am sure you will love reading Jodha's POV.

Medha, you have put across your point well. But I differ slightly. 😊 Jalal is the kind of person who keeps quiet most of the time. He bottles up everything. Only when he can't keep it inside him any longer does he burst out. This may be a result of his childhood. When he had no one to confide in or share his feelings with or seek solace from. His relationship with HB is very new and still in a budding stage. The only people he had around him were MA and Ruq. So whether he liked it or not, he had perforce to confide in them only when he could not keep things to himself any longer.

"Beware the wrath of a silent man." When a person who usually stays quiet bursts out, his wrath is devastating. At that point, everything has to come out of him, irrespective of who is in front of him. Or many times, it comes out in a torrent on the person he is emotionally closest to. Here, Jala's anger usually comes out on Jodha because she is closest to him emotionally and mentally. His words at such times hold no meaning. They are only a means to let out the steam. We may not like it, but fortunately for him, Jodha understands this. She may be hurt momentarily but she stays unruffled because she knows he doesn't mean what he says and that he will soon calm down.

Generally women expect men to be solid as rock for support. But Jalal knows Jodha is the stronger one among the two and she is his anchor. In spite of circumstances that keep separating them, he keeps returning to her to anchor himself. All his life, he has supported others and taken care of them. Now, here at last is a person who is ready to support him and take care of him without expecting anything in return. For this reason alone, Jalal will always need her more than she needs him. Not because he fell in love with her first or he wants her physically...

Jodha is caught in a trap. She isn't confident of her place in his life, so she won't confess her feelings.Till she confesses her feelings, Jalal won't have the confidence to assure her of her place. Love is a place where the only distance between 2 people is fear - of rejection and of losing the other. Both of them have to overcome their fears on their own, this is one place where they cannot help each other.

There is nothing to be ashamed of in bending before a loved one. Jalal bows physically and seeks forgiveness. Jodha bows emotionally and forgives him. This is the power of love that binds them.

Sorry for the longgg post! 😉 But do read it. It may help you when you get married. 😆

Loved the lines in bold.

Radhika very interesting. Yes seen like this I guess Jalal needs Jodha more. What a fascinating couple this Jodha and Jalal are. I just hope we get so many many memorable moments to watch now that they are going to confide their love.

I guess seeing the new promo what you said is going to happen.

I mentioned above that Jodha is the kind of person who would want to "mother" Jalal. See the pic where she is kissing his hand (probably the hand he hurt when he banged it into the wall). She is kissing it better, just like a mom would 😃
And Jalal is protective of her like a guardian and that's why he kisses her forehead, just like a guardian would 😆

Hi All,
Am updating this post. After Jalal's dramatic outpouring of his angst and despair in Friday's episode, have any of you revised your opinion of him as a husband? Please do share. 😊
