Hi Eveline,

I agree with you. But also Rudra had it coming. He forced her into a marriage. it was ridiculuous. As his CO said while suspending him,"I have repeatedly told you to handle the witness with sensitivity and you havent".
He was torturing her and forcing her to make a statement that she was not ready to make. he never considered the possibility that she did not know about the gun running. So if she signed it without knowing about the gun running, wasn't she perjuring herself? And she would have been doing it under threat...
When he was pressuring her and swore he would do anything to get her to sign, did he not consider that this could be one of the outcomes? The the BSD would find out that he was blackmailing her to sign the papers? And it was he who made a public display of the wedding...
Looks like Rudra does not think much... is impulsive...he is reaping what he sowed... but Paro was put thro those humiliation without her being at fault...
My heart did break for Rudra to see what he is going thro... but it didn't change the fact that he had it coming...

he had it coming??? kya anjaane mein ki gayi galti galti nahi hoti?? esp agar uska bhugtaan koi aur kare?? paro was with the baraat defending her side and you expect BSD officer to believe that she didnt know anything? even in reality whenever someone is caught at crime scene, unless they have something that proves them innocent, cops dont just believe they are innocent. if he made a public display of wedding, what did she do?? she proposed him in a room full of people and made a display too without considering of consequences. paro was put through humiliation coz of her stupidity and trusting wrong people. rudra asked her many concerning questions like why has she not seen one girl come back after marriage? she didnt think at that time too that something could be wrong.she was naive and rudra has always paid the price for that.
lets not discuss what happened in past because right now in this moment it is paro whose stupidity has humiliated rudra. he lost one thing for which he was really passionate about. everyone is busy showing him how wrong he is for treating paro like that. even maithili was trying to make him feel guilty about that rain drama but forgot that it was paro who was being stubborn and standing there. kya rudra ne uske paav mein glue laga diya tha?? everybody does what they want and yet when rudra does that, he suddenly becomes wrong. sumer plans banaye, rudra uska bhugtaan kare, mohini plans banaye, rudra uska bhi bhugtaan kare, paro zid par aakar stupid harkatein kare, rudra uska bhugtaan kare. lekin phir bhi rudra ko gussa hone ka koi haq nahi aur wohi galat. wah.

Rudra asked Paro to think why none of those girls ever came back...so she should think And believe him. How come Rudra does not have to think along the same lines? If none of those girls came back, they were killed or sold as he himself told the villagers. How come that doesn't tell him that the girls were innocent? Why would the girls willingly go across the border to be killed or sold? That should have made him think that Paro might be clueless, especially with Aman and kakasa also doubting Paro's involvement. But Major does not think. He did not even think when kakasa & Aman doubted Paros involvement in the fire. Because Major does not think. All he does is take impulsive decisions and actions and now he is paying for it through his nose. Paro has added fuel to the fire, but Rudra has set the fire in the first place.

I disagree evie. I have never agreed when a sufferer vents out his suffering on someone else. Be it ASR or Rudra or any other male character they are wrong to vent out the frustration on someone, whatever be their mistake without asking them once.

In all TV serials it has become a hobby to show the woman a victim of a man's anger. Half of the time there is no repentance even. Just a little bit of romance and some lovely dovy scenes later audience too forgets the pain of the female lead.

Unfortunately I have never been able to overlook what they suffered in the name of punishment for what they did when they have actually done nothing/

This is one post where I have a different view from you. Really sorry

The past is connected. we cant ignore it...it is what has bought Rudra and Paro to this situation. While Paro was rightly considered guilty when found in the Baraat... they could not find anything to connect her to the gun running. Even the cops release a suspect when they cant tie them to the crime... But did Rudra do that? nope. he held on to her and was blackmailing her... also he told Aman himself that he thinks Paro is innocent and is not aware of tejawat's activities. Then why did he hang on to her? Because he knew she was the way to reel in Tejawat. He was using her...
And he did reel in Tejawat using Paro. If Paro wasn't bought to the mela, would tejawat have come to the mela? Nope. he would have let his henchmen do the exchange. and Rudra would still have been left with nothing.
It is Paro who has successfully cracked Rudra's case for him...
please don't mistake me...both of them are victims. ...I feel for Rudra as much as I feel for Paro...
The main point I am making here is that all that Rudra is feeling here... Paro was made to feel when she was his prisoner... but somehow her honour, her humiliation, her feelings etc were not focused on so much...
Now it is Rudra's turn... and he is just as much a victim as Paro was... you cant compare degree's of victimhood...
