Can a man be a victim?

Why does a woman always have to be a victim?? Can't a male suffer through acute dishonor, acute pain, acute mental agony...can't he be the one disrobed at the hands of a woman. Why not talk about a woman, and her actions (even if innocent) that leads to a man's loss of honor and dignity. His pride, his work, his uniform. Don't men have a right to a clean, good reputation?? Don't they have a right to a good name?? Don't they feel humiliated when that same is tarnished?? Don't they feel insulted when they are not considered worth their uniform just cause the actions of one love crazed woman has dire consequences. What if they become the objects of societal ridicule, professional censure due to no fault of theirs?? What if they become a target for pointing fingers and wagging tongues cause someone decided to fall in love with them?? What if the love of one makes life impossible for the other, making it difficult to survive in this world ??And what if he is a man?? Does he have any rights to protection or defense or understanding?? Or just cause he is the so called stronger sex, its okay if he is dishonored?? Its fine if he becomes an object of someone's one sided desire (at least he is not ready to pursue it from his side)??
He has paid and is still paying a heavy price for saving an innocent victim. Looking from his point of view, he has lost it all, and all because of one woman. We have heard of multiple cases where women have suffered at the hands of an obsessive male...are we looking at a reverse case?? He has come to an end of his endurance...and does anyone have any doubts that he has endured plenty?? Are we looking at how a man can suffer, if he becomes an object of a woman's single minded unwarranted love?? And are we still capable of showing sympathy and empathy when the human suffering is a male?? Or are our yardsticks different for a male and a female??
I am just curious about what we all feel in such a scenario. I know this is a love story and eventually it will be sorted out...and also taking sides is a no no...but still for debate's sake. I also realize that its a fictional show, but still, certain questions do have a connect with reality...
Honestly, m loving the fact that for a change, we see the man suffering too. We see him being a victim, a target of societal censure and pressure. We see a male on the receiving end of ridicule and scandal...a rare and refreshing angle to a love story !!
(I know the majority here will not agree with the my post...I apologize for offending your sensibilities, please refrain from negativity...thanks a ton)

Eve, all this makes me feel so sorry for Rudra. I can sympathize and empathize with him.
Even when he shot at the Baraat he was not suspended but just because of Paro's actions he has been stripped of his medal. Paro's actions may have been innocent but they were incredibly stupid and stripped Rudra of his pride and reputation and everything he holds dear. She should realize that Goddess Parvati may have done tap for Shivji but not at the cost of his pride. Just like I didn't like the guy for forcing hate marriages in this case I do not like Parvati's actions.
Only if now she goes running to BSD and clears Rudra's name will redeem her..

I do agree to some extent because the uniform he wears, the passion he has for BSD was evident when he said its his family. Paro is innocent but Rudra has been suffering the consequence of her ignorance since the day they met...sad but seems like his life has seen pain because of the acts of others. ...His childhood , his teenage and now his youth.😭😭😭

I have been saying this for days now, that if we look at things from Rudra's pov...its going wrong...very very wrong. Whatever Paro has done (however innocently), has led to huge pain and loss for Rudra...

Yes, once again he pays a price for someone's actions. Essentially all important people in his life have behaved the way they have wanted to...be it his mother, his father and now Paro...they just did what they felt like doing and he always ends up paying the price.

I agree with u completely.
And glad that here cvs are portraying this side too.
That's why RR is different.

Yes, RR is unique in the sense that the male lead is not just around to make the female lead look like a heroine...it also depicts his battles too. Its in real sense a love story, where both the characters matter equally...

I, for one, agrees with you 100% Eve-Sa.

The guy isn't wrong.

The guy isn't some Jallaad.

The guy didn't sign up for this.

Yet, the guy has been robbed of everything he loves.

And don't worry about the majority.

But at the end of the day, I'll say that neither Paro nor him really realized what the world would do to their twisted relationship.

Now, both will embark on this journey laced with thorns.

Once again I completely agree with you!
The points raised by the BSD seniors made it clear that it was what transpired after the mission ended that was responsible of Rudra's suspension! And that has been clearly Paros doing ...staying in hs house...proposing publicly...standing in the rain...the last was so clearly going to cause a ruckus I felt even as the scene aired and Sumer took snaps!

How was Rudra responsible for any of that...and yet she came off as an innocent girl who was tortured at the hands of a merciless officer...ironically as he recounted all he did was protect her!

He was the one who develop feelings...she was after him only because she believed god ordained it...yet he was accused of cheating her!

The contrast was clearly marked in the scene where she happily adorns herself and he is stripped of all he holds dear..! She unwittingly caused destruction in his life...!

And when everyone was ok with her forcing him not to just acknowledge feelings fr her but actually marry her...then what he did today should also be looked at from that angle only!

Force from any one male or female does not make for a healthy relationship...and here clearly her actions totally ruined him!

It does not matter that Sumer was the one who planned this...Paro provided the opportunity alright!

Rudra was right...her good fortune and his misfortune clashed !

Since the day he has met her, he has been trying his best, yet in the end, he faces such dishonor.
😆Majority...lately I have become really unpopular for calling a spade, a spade. Big deal.😃..just wanted to share some thoughts with friends...
It will be an interesting journey...looking forward to every minute of their road to love...😳
