Why does a woman always have to be a victim?? Can't a male suffer through acute dishonor, acute pain, acute mental agony...can't he be the one disrobed at the hands of a woman. Why not talk about a woman, and her actions (even if innocent) that leads to a man's loss of honor and dignity. His pride, his work, his uniform. Don't men have a right to a clean, good reputation?? Don't they have a right to a good name?? Don't they feel humiliated when that same is tarnished?? Don't they feel insulted when they are not considered worth their uniform just cause the actions of one love crazed woman has dire consequences. What if they become the objects of societal ridicule, professional censure due to no fault of theirs?? What if they become a target for pointing fingers and wagging tongues cause someone decided to fall in love with them?? What if the love of one makes life impossible for the other, making it difficult to survive in this world ??And what if he is a man?? Does he have any rights to protection or defense or understanding?? Or just cause he is the so called stronger sex, its okay if he is dishonored?? Its fine if he becomes an object of someone's one sided desire (at least he is not ready to pursue it from his side)??
He has paid and is still paying a heavy price for saving an innocent victim. Looking from his point of view, he has lost it all, and all because of one woman. We have heard of multiple cases where women have suffered at the hands of an obsessive male...are we looking at a reverse case?? He has come to an end of his endurance...and does anyone have any doubts that he has endured plenty?? Are we looking at how a man can suffer, if he becomes an object of a woman's single minded unwarranted love?? And are we still capable of showing sympathy and empathy when the human suffering is a male?? Or are our yardsticks different for a male and a female??
I am just curious about what we all feel in such a scenario. I know this is a love story and eventually it will be sorted out...and also taking sides is a no no...but still for debate's sake. I also realize that its a fictional show, but still, certain questions do have a connect with reality...
Honestly, m loving the fact that for a change, we see the man suffering too. We see him being a victim, a target of societal censure and pressure. We see a male on the receiving end of ridicule and scandal...a rare and refreshing angle to a love story !!
