Sara may be you won't believe but I am neither a fan of Rajat nor Paridhi, I was watching this show because of the historical aspect because I am a historical buff and love watching any show based on history or mythology or epics or any legends. I loved the characters Jalal and Jodha and wanted to watch a show where they will compliment each other. Here all I see is Jalal being converted to Jodha's shadow! Really tragic!

Some are of the view that Jodha's thinking today was justified. I am not one of them. I want a balance between the leads. Akbar already has an aura around him, the many good things he had done has been taught from school days.

That is why I wanted Jodha to be some kind of balance. But these days Jalal is even more the good guy whereas Jodha is shown to be shallow, unforgiving and unable to understand the consequence of her actions.

The situation is the exact opposite of the situation in the Vishkanya track when Jalal was the village idiot and vindictive brute of a husband and Jodha was the understanding angel.

And once Akbar grovels in front of this Devi god save all from the mahaan things that Jodha will do in the future like Jaziya, pilgrim tax, sati etc.

You are absolutely right, in future all the reforms will be done by Jodha and with her input and insistence and Jalal will only praise her and pass the laws! I don't understand where the greatness of Akbar lies in this story!

I will never forgive Jalal during the miscarriage track, he was the worst there but later on he has changed and reformed himself a lot and every time we see him realizing and acknowledging that but not for once I have seen Jodha pondering or recapitulating what Jalal has done for her or for once saying she is sorry or even realizing where she was wrong. When will she gain this wisdom and foresight I wonder! Her self-respect and dignity was intact today which is wonderful and her letter was justified when she said she was hurt by Jalal's accusations but not once she apologized for the fact that she concealed from him all along what she shouldn't have, why she had to hide from him, why Sujamal had to give that stupid 'vachan'...not one word about all this but the blame was put on Jalal very squarely and openly!

This is my second show since - and my first EK show since she was the one to put me off hindi serials - I actually thought EK might be trying to present something new with her Ajmer and Amer tracks - but no, a leopard never changes its spots - and EK can never change her thinking!!!

@ blue - Bingo Adi! I thought because this is history EK will not tamper with it but my mistake! Always first few months a show is awesome and then it starts going south with the tainting of the male protagonist and upliftment of the female protagonist with its halo growing brighter and healthier.

Munni there never was a balance! The formula of Balaji is to create a male hero in the first few months who will capture the masses by his nature, character and attributes and then they will start deteriorating and degrading the male character by uplifting the female protagonist who never goes wrong no matter haw faulty she is and the hero is finally downgraded to be a prop in the back ground.

And any little mistake he commits he is simply send to hell with all the bashing and when the heroine is wrong the bashing goes to the CV's for butchering her character! Very convenient!

THIS, This is exactly whats bugging me overall with this show now. Balaji Telefilms/Ekta Kapoor has sooo much matter in history about Jodha Akbar to make this show and drag it however much she wants but no she has to throw in her old tried & tested SBS tracks and turn a historical into a normal daily soap where the man is always wrong, only he repents, he is foolish, he is bad and the woman is always right, never repents, super smart, gooder than good.
Today's episode was good for many but I couldn't get past that letter, I just couldn't. I cannot forget that THIS IS AKBAR, i've read about this RULER/EMPEROR when I was in school and again after coming to this forum. I cannot watch AKBAR being butchered like this.
How is it that EK does not realize that we have read about Akbar, his history is more or less an open book if one wants to read it. So how does she even expect us to digest all this nonsense about him??? And as much as I've read about Jodha coming to this forum, even she was not like she is being shown in the show. So at the end of the day the question in my mind is why should I watch this show which has just ended up being a SBS daily soap which is butchering REAL HISTORICAL CHARACTERS LIKE JODHA & AKBAR !!!!!

@ blue - A very good question for us all! I am on the verge of giving up! And yes we all ave read about the real historical Akbar but since this is EK's Akbar he has to be cruel, heartless, submissive to Jodha, always wrong, unable to take any valid decisions on his own! And people here belief all this and even vouch this is all true and facts are being showed by the CV's. Anyway we are beggars and thus we can't be choosers.

i too dont watch balaji shows at all.. i started watching dis show only for parijat acting skills..no other reason...in other balaji shows ..i never liked d acting of d leads so much ,...aur JA k cvs pata nahi kyun ek episode ko dusre se relate nahi karte...parso jodha soch rahi thi uski bhi galti hai ...phir aaj suddenly sab kuch jallu pe daal diya cvs ne...kya hai ye...do they think ki viewers ka itna bhi dimaag nahi hai...i dnt want ki JA ko bhi EK itna drag karde ki baad mei bardaasht na ho paye

It is already going beyond my tolerance level now. And you are talking about the episode a day back, the writers are all not consistent in one scene and are all confused and contradictory, ek din pahele ki episode toh bahoot dur ki baat hai! There is no character, storyline, dialogue or script consistency from one scene to the other! This is why Balaji loses the popularity of a show after 6 months or so!
