I'm not trying to defend my favorite here, but I think Rani nailed her role in Black. It is NOT easy playing a blind, deaf, and mute girl. To see her in that film as herself in terms of no make up or no fancy clothes etc was so nice. Usually in films we see the 'unreal' side of actresses with outfits, make up, jewelry. The 'simplicity' factor is lost. But she nailed her role. Though the movie related to Helen Keller's story, Rani & Ayesha were brilliant in their roles and even the non-fans must give credit for a role well done!
