Why do all Pakistani films suck big time but TV dramas rock?

The quality of Pakistani TV dramas are far better than Indian daily soaps but Pakistani films suck big time. I have seen only one Pakistani film in my whole life. 'Khuda Key Liye'. It was decent but I haven't found any other urdu film which is even decent to watch. Lollywood is absolutely horrible industry.

Yeah it is quite horrible. Ive only seen a few pakistani movies but you should watch Bol as well. It's by the same guy who directed Khuda ke Liye!

Pakistani films are slowly passing to the next stage in discourse, they're in a transitional phase right now. It'll still take a bit of time though. But yes the films have been terrible in comparison to our dramas. Dramas have generally always superceded the 'Eastman colour' reel in the past.

They are trying now..
Bol, Zinda Bhaag, Main Hoon Shahid Afridi and Waar are some of the better films released in recent past.. and few more are under production.

Well there is no comparison of Pakistani soaps with indian... they follow different patterns and both show what their audience want to see... coming to the films... the industry aint horrible but only in its stages to progress... nothing is an instant hit!

and the revival is arleady here... consider watching Waar and RamChand Pakistani... these stories have themes and are good to watch. 😃

nai yaar they werent always like that. i know because my friend is a big time fan of old Pakisatani movies. of the times of Waheed Muraad...if you know him. they were some real good stuff. and i remember watching films like Churian when i was young... it wasnt bad either. i know there was a time when films werent working out for the industry and eventually it declined but its gaining back its pace.

WAAR N BOL were really gud ...so was khuda ke liye but these r all off beat cinemas...not the entertainment types whereas pak dramas r entertaining but still very gud actors screenplay dialogues...thats th main reason i keep saying i wud rather see fawad n imran abbas in bolly rather than pak films coz pak dramas r better than ind dramas and bolly is way way way better than pak films...if fawad imran goes to pak films frm pak dramas it ll b a demotion in career...not promotion
