Hello Everyone,
This is me again, with a very long post. I am trying to make up for the whole week of no long posts lol. First, a shout-out to Sejal and Anum for already making a post about Raghav and discussing about how adorable he was in the last episode. Now, before I start, I just want to say that this last episode left me so happy that my perspective on last week in general changed. I will definitely tell you why as I go ahead with the RagNa journey in this post.
This post will focus on basically a recap of the last week. So here I go:
I think the first scene that I have to point out is the one that won the best scene of the week:
I am pretty sure you guys all have some clue to why I am saying this. I loved how he was describing exactly how she was feeling, based on his past experience of realization of feeling. Of course, I am glad that she wasn't really shown biting her nails or pulling her hair but the confusion, the anxiety and the tension was there. She could not stand the fact that he wasn't giving her a chance to express herself - to apologize. It was so simple really. If Raghav just picked up the phone then he could have heard her pouring her heart out to him. Alas, the CVs decided to make it more interesting and let the Love Guru Sammy intervene. Oh, yes I will definitely talk about this guy later because I have more to say about him for sure!
Now the first thing that I would love to talk about is the one where she came in the office, while Raghav just arrived in the morning. Did anyone notice that he was missing a tie again? I feel like he's always shown missing a tie when he's anxiously waiting on Kalpi's reply to something lol.
Oh I just simply loved this scene! It was so funny. The way Raghav just looked onto her, as if he was spell-bounded for that brief second, was just marvelous! He tries so hard to get away from her and listen to Sammy but he can't even control his feelings for her. He has always been drawn to her, and it's so apparent in several scenes this week and I will point each out to all of you!
Oh, how can we forget Sammy - the love guru? Sammy, dude, thank you for putting more complication in their lives! Enough of that sarcasm now. Alright so I am seriously grateful to him for giving us such a beautiful scene on Friday. I forgive you for now Sammy beta. Hopefully you mend more than you break because the way RagNa looked in this scene was so heartbreaking. Raghav just wanted to go and talk to her. He wanted to stop this facade already because he just couldn't stand not talking to her.
Kalpi wished for the same. She wanted to clear the air and misunderstandings that had happened between them. She was so happy when she came in today. She dressed up, for him. There was no other reason why. She wanted them to work together again - as partners. She wanted to work out whatever misunderstandings they had developing because she didn't like being unheard and ignored by him.
The way Kalpi looked onto Raghav, as if asking him to look at her in the eye and not ignore her. She didn't say anything out loud but it was so apparent by the way she looked onto him.
Of course, how can we forget the scene above? Again, I am completely shocked that the challenge already ended. I was expecting more of their nok-jhoks before that happened lol. So besides the point that I wished that they didn't rush this challenge, I absolutely love this scene now. Initially, this made me bang my head in the wall and wanted to beat Sammy up and shake Raghav up for actually bringing this up when things could be resolved so easily. However, now I can clearly see why Raghav had mentioned this. I feel like it was his own idea (and not Sammy's) to bring this up because he wanted her to react. He wanted her to take him by the arm and shake him up. He wanted her to feel the right to get mad at him for even bringing it up. He wanted her to say 'no! I won't go.' But she didn't. She just stood there, caught off-guard and hurt. She was wondering why was he even bringing this up now? Didn't he want her around anymore? Didn't he like her anymore? So, she just stood there shocked at this sudden revelation.
I think as a RagNa fan, this has to be one of my favorite moments. His concern for her is so apparent from this scene. He loves her so dearly that he cannot bear to see tears in her eyes (and her eyes sort of looked teary - or was that just me?). When he sees that, he completely forgets about any plan. It didn't matter to him if she didn't reciprocate his feelings in that one instant. All that mattered was that she looked hurt and he just had to make her feel better. He wanted to stop her from leaving office but he also wanted this to be her decision. He dropped the ball in her court. Let's see if he will actually go along with her decision, in case she does resign and leave 😆
For a sec, Kalpi saw past his facade. They were both so lost in that very brief instant (barely few seconds) until Sammy (Kabab main haddi again lol) broke that moment. His guards were up again and he looked the same Khadoos boss that didn't care about her anymore. I swear, the way she looked at him, it felt like she was pleading with her eyes. She was fighting with herself, her feelings and her self-respect. Why would she say anything to someone who didn't even give her a chance to talk? Yet, at the same time, she didn't want to go and she wanted him to stop her. At the same time, she was pleading with him to not do this and just not tell her to leave. She seems to be fighting with herself - it would definitely be interesting to see how this unfolds.
I love how he's witnessing exactly what she feels. His plan to work her and make her think of his place in her life isn't so well though-out it seems because he keeps on looking at her the whole time. I have a quick questions here. Doesn't anyone in the office notice his heated looks towards Kalpi? he kept on staring at her the whole time 😆
Coming onto the scene itself, it was so beautiful. Her anxiety was making him anxious. She was the one with an ultimatum on her head and he was the one who was distracted. She was the one who should be feeling bad, but he was the one who felt the pain. Ah, I guess that's what it means to be hopelessly in love. I am really enjoying his state. It's like he's losing on both sides - if he ignores her then he feels bad and wants to talk to her and if he doesn't ignore her then he feels that she won't ever realize his importance. Bechaara Raghav, phas gaya dono taraf se. He's suffering just as much, if not more.
I know that I was actually disappointed that she had forgotten the challenge. I still am actually because I really wanted something more out of that track. It has so much potential. But now I can sort of see why she had forgotten. Her life had been a roller-coaster after she came back from the alibagh trip. She had to face the brunt of his sudden outbursts of anger, and then sudden discovery of his feelings. It didn't just stop there. He didn't relent from his expressed feelings and asked her for a reply. Finally, his feelings reached out to her and touched her heart and she discovered something novel. Itni jhanjhat me to shayad bhool gai hogi woh 😆
Finally when he decides that enough is enough, our Sammy baba comes in the middle again [I swear Sammy yaar, I am only forgiving you because I actually really liked the coffee scene later on lol]. You know what I think? I don't think that Raghav only wanted to go make up with her because he felt bad for her, seeing her condition. I feel that he was scared. Raghav was so scared that he may actually lose her with this that he wanted to stop all of this before it came to fruition of any sort. There was also the thing about how much it hurt him to see her like that - confused, distracted, hurt, et cetera. He wanted to comfort her and tell her that she didn't need to do all of that. He wanted her to say that it was alright.
However, Sammy saw all of this and intervened thinking that his friend is someone who would dedicate his life to the ones he loved the most. So, he decided to take the matters into his own hands and help his friend out.
She is still reeling from whatever that happened. As I stated before, she has an ultimatum that she's not sure how to respond. Should she take an initiative and leave because he didn't want her anymore? Or should she stay and see where this could lead, despite the fact that he was acting so rude to her? She is confused right now - Didn't he say that he liked me? What happened? That dilemma is translating in her persona.
Oh, how he wants to so badly end this already. The way he just looks at her with so much longing in his eyes. He clearly misses her. He knows that he's causing her a huge dilemma at the moment. He himself is very confused. At one point, he wants to just go talk to her and end this in case she wants to resign. He wants to tell her that she doesn't need to even think about it and she can stay by his side. At another point, he feels that she needs to decide. More than anything, he's fighting with himself at the moment too.
The way he put his hand on the mirror, as if indicating that he wants to feel her but she seems so far away was beautiful. That scene spoke volumes about his inner conflicting emotions. Kudos to the actors and CVs for portraying it like that!
Do you know why Raghav says to Sammy that he's not a teenager? That's because he is still a child - an adorable little child. You know why I am saying that? It's very clear in the scene above. He wants her attention, regardless of the fact that he was the one who started ignoring her. He knows that she wants to talk to him and internally he does enjoy that a bit. It's been a while that he followed her. Now that she's in the same boat. She's the one following him around. Oh, how the times have changed in only few weeks 😆
Let's not forget the way he deliberately calls - was it fake? I think it was. I mean, it didn't even take that long for the person to pick up his call? Suspicious no? And then he kept on looking onto her to make sure that she's paying attention to him. He just couldn't bear the fact that while he was filled with her thoughts and couldn't concentrate, she was quietly doing her work. Tsk tsk Raghav - real mature! 😆
Bechaari Kalpi. What to do? The one person who she wants to talk to doesn't seem to have time of the day for her. She is disheartened, confused and really annoyed. Yes, she was at fault but she was willing to admit that. She was willing to talk it out but now that she was finally ready to do so, he wasn't? That irked her. Aur uska nishana ban gaya Ramu. Oh poor dude. She took it out on him. Though I am happy that she relented and realized her mistake - Good job my Jhansi ki Rani!
Let's start from the top. After the whole week of waiting, Finally! She's missing him. She is mentally going back to every instant when he was willing to stand up for them. What had happened? What had changed? She had misunderstood him before but was it really too late? Will he not even listen to her? Does he only want to stay professional to each other? Does he want her to leave after all they have been through? When she's finally ready to talk about this, and when she's finally able to see his perspective, he's the one who's back-tracking from her? Poor girl can't help but think of all of these things together and connecting the dots all wrong. Hopefully someone helps her and she realizes that he does in fact very much want her in his life.
Finally we get a scene that was so meaningful. I honestly don't even have enough words to describe this scene. It all started from her carelessness. "Kaha dyaan rehta hai tumhara? Jala diya na haath? Stupid girl." That's it. All of his feelings were in that one moment. The best part was the background piano version of the song. Wow, it fit the delicate nature of the whole scene.
The way he gently took her hands and wiped it slowly so it doesn't hurt her any further. It was as if he was handling a handle with care item - with tenderness. He kept on wiping at it and blowing at it. I mean, when I saw him blowing at it, my heart melted because he really wanted to do everything to make sure she isn't hurt. He didn't care that that gesture would probably contradict any of the previous ones. She was his only priority. And that's what the whole scene showed. He's willing to stand by her through thick and thin and all she has to do is open about her pain a little.
The highlight of the scene was their talk. I loved how they were chatting with each other and questioning each other through their eyes. It really clarified bunch of things for me as an audience. For instance, the fact that Raghav wanted her to jataing her haq on him and get mad - I wouldn't understand that if he didn't mention that. I liked that little back and forth. They were speaking with each other and I felt that if it was prolonged then they would probably end up making up instead 😆
Alas, Sammy intervened again. He better have some other really great plans or I would not forgive him for interrupting for the last time lol. Though poor Sammy, he has to overlook Raghav for 24/7 now for the fear that Raghav will spoil the plan. Jab bhi dekho wapas dauda Kalpi ke paas chala aata hai. Even Sammy is getting irritated now 😆
Last but not the least, I loved this scene. He left his handkerchief with her. Now they have both exchanged handkerchiefs! Ab jab bhi ladai hogi then they will look at that and think of the other person - with Lambi chudai in the background playing lol. On a serious note, I really thought that this scene was so beautiful. It was like a silent assurance that I will always be there for you. The way he folded it around her hand indicated 'I care. I still care. You just need to look harder now but I am still the same.' He couldn't say that vocally but I felt like that's what he wanted to say to her.
On a side note, water would be more effective on a burn like that but that's alright since both of them seem to have been too lost. Plus, Kalpi seemed fine by the time he left. I highly doubt she noticed. 😆
I have said it before and I will say it again. The two characters, if molded correctly, complement each other so well. One is night and the other is day - neither makes the full day cycle without the other. It's still not clear if she only wanted to clear the misunderstandings or if she wanted them to get back together. Let's only hope that something good comes out of this and doesn't cause any unnecessary miscommunications. Though, not going to lie, but I partly want Sammy's plan to fail so he could see that he's dealing with a very different girl. I will leave that one up to the CVs. I am sure they have a lot more RagNa filled, meaningful tracks ahead. Hope you guys all enjoyed the episodes as much as I did.
