I couldn't agree more with you all on this thread.
I only read the written updates or TRY to watch the episode recap (5-6min) clip online - even then I have to stop the video because it gets unbearable.
Today especially I am thoroughly disappointed and partly disgusted.
Now pardon me members if I am misinterpreting or misquoting as I did not watch the full episode.
What I can't understand is what the CVs are trying to show here. We spent a few days where Urmi was hell bent on never returning to Samrat - she wanted nothing to do with the monster she married - she had a lot of emotional baggage to sort through. Now all of a sudden post Baby Announcement Party - she's back in the mad house.
First of all why did she go to the party?
Did she go because she was guilt tripped by her beloved father (another terrible character) who would rather send his baby girl to the dogs (samrat's family) rather than stand up for her and support her during her emotional crisis?
Did she return because she has magically over night resolved her emotional issues and decided that she DOES want to live with this horrendous character?
For a woman who WAS concerned about her child's future which is precisely why she wanted the abortion suddenly a brainless mute who is subjecting her child to emotional trauma and tyranny even before he/she is born?!
Urmi knows very well that Samrat has no concern for her, her feelings or her well being. Everything is just a means to satisfy his ego and remain in control.
What was she thinking coming back to the mad house?
Even if I can justify that Urmi made an appearance at the party for the sake of societal norms (that logic alone is a soap box of mine but i'll reserve that for a different discussion) why did she go back to that mad house?
After the party - if she was so adamant that she did not want to go back to Samrat - she should have gone back to her parents house. That would have really bruised Samrat's ego. But more than proving a point to Samrat - I want to understand what is Urmi doing?
On the one hand she's all about self respect and a compatible life partner (neither of which describes Samrat) but then she behaves like a weak pushover and doormat - WHYYY?
If she is considering giving him another chance because he's been so "caring" recently then she's in for a rude awakening (again) and at this point I have no sympathy for her - she is digging her own grave.
I wonder how long it would take for her to wake up and realize - Samrat has NOT changed - he looks at her as a baby producing machine - a means to an heir - he's so confident in his "manhood" that he's convinced he will have a boy - PUH-LEEEZ - any one with some form of formal education can tell you sex determination of the fetus is a) not something that can be controlled unless you are going for surrogate motherhood or IVF b) it is upto the sperm which can carry either X or Y chromosome to determine the sex of the baby - if ur lucky it will be Y for a baby boy, BUT YOU CAN'T CONTROL THIS!
I'm just counting the days till Urmi is forced to undergo sex determination tests and then possibly coerced to abort if they find out it's a baby girl.
MAYBE Urmi was shown to keep quiet here - so she can give these words back to Samrat when he wants her to abort so they can try again for a boy.
In my opinion though - when he was yelling at her and raising hell at home yet again - this would have been the prime opportunity for Urmi to tell Samrat exactly what she thinks of him or thought of him - and say she DID want an abortion because she doesn't want to bring his child into this world - she doesn't want to be associated with such a terrible person who is selfish, arrogant and mean. He doesn't treat her well she is his wife not some kind of toy that he bought at the store that he can do what ever he wants with - if he wants her to have this baby he needs to treat her right.
But of course this is wishful thinking since we are watching a hindi serial which as always is at the mercy of cheap shots to gain TRPs. Newsflash to CVs - if you can weave a well thought out script that is engaging and doesn't insult the viewers' intelligence and sensibilities - you won't need to resort to stupid tricks to gain TRPS!
