Aamir Khan fires salvo at B'bay Velvet

It is yet to be seen who blinks first--Aamir Khan or Anurag Kashyap. But, the fact that Rajkumar Hirani's Aamir starrer, P.K., which was earlier scheduled for June 6, has now chosen to release on the Christmas week, a date pencilled months in advance by Anurag for his ambitious film, Bombay Velvet, has not gone down well with the director who made his displeasure public in an interview to Mirror (March 18). This has apparently miffed the 48-year old star.
Aamir took a dig at one of the makers of Bombay Velvet, Madhu Mantena, when the two bumped into each other at Kangana Ranaut's birthday party on Sunday. He walked up to Mantena and quipped, his voice dripping with sarcasm, "Kya bhai, aaj kal toh tum bade star ban gaye ho. Aur hum to purane actor hokar rahe gaye." Those standing close by had no trouble figuring out what he meant.
The two had been good friends during the Ghajini days. Mantena had produced this Aamir-starrer which went on to become one of the biggest grossers.
Says an eyewitness to the exchange, "amir was indirectly taking a potshot at Madhu. He sounded really ticked off, Madhu didn't know which way to look."
When contacted, Mantena said, "Aamir and I did chat up at Kangana's party but only about his TV show, Satyamev Jayate."

I'm starting to dislike Aamir Khan more and more everyday. He definitely knew that Bombay Velvet was releasing on Christmas 2014 but he changed the date anyway. Why? Just because he felt like it. Pompous idiot.

I can't stand this hypocrite and egoistic little man anymore.

This pseudo intellectual wishes to sound like a perfect human being on earth but he isn't.

Also Dhoom 3 proved it for me that he can't pull off every character given to him either.

The comments in press were made by Anurag Kashyap, then why not address him directly? Why put Mantena in a spot?

Edit: Oh, haan yaad aa gaya. It's bcos Anurag calls a spade a spade and is fearless. He would have gladly replied back to Aamir's ribbing unlike Mantena who kept quiet.

Exactly he was terrible in Dhoom 3. His performance was so bad that I seriously hope he never acts in another film ever again.

What's the big deal if he knew? It's not like he asked them to move their date.

He should apologize for being such big superstar that people are scared of releasing their movies with him? Christmas is his lucky date, If he wants to release his movies on that date he's got every right.

Why is the article given any credibility when the person in question reveals himself that no such thing has happened?

The moment the writer decided to include the alleged quote at the end, he might have as well not written the article at all.
