~ Chapter 16 - This Party Getting Hot! ~

Khushi descended down the stairs, feeling slightly uncomfortable due to the dress, but instructing herself to look confident. It was a technique to carry a dress, if you look comfortable, the dress would itself become comfortable.

Arnav had seated himself in the living room, waiting for Khushi, and of course, for Alia. As he saw Khushi coming towards the living room, his eyes involuntarily widened, and then relaxed and fixed on her. She looked beautiful! For Arnav, who had only seen her in simple casual clothes, and now seeing her fully ready for a party, in his Favourite colour, she really looked like a 'Heavenly Angel' to him, descending down the stairs.

Khushi had to click her fingers in front of his face to break his chains of thoughts.

"Hey! You look Handsome!" Khushi said, winking at him.

"How am I looking?" Khushi asked, swirling around in the same place.

Arnav leaned forward and whispered close in her ear, "Sexy!"

Khushi punched slightly on his shoulder, while her cheeks matched the red colour of her dress.

"Let's go!" Khushi said and moved towards the main door.

"Take care beta" Ira told them, in a loving motherly voice.

"Ji auntie" they replied.

"Auntie. Can I take your car for today?" Arnav asked politely, "Actually I've take to Alia, and Khushi also"

"Sure beta" Ira replied, smiling.

"Thank you!" he thanked and placed a quick kiss on her cheek.

Arnav and Khushi drove to Alia's house and waited for her to come out.

"Should I sit on the back seat?" Khushi asked Arnav, unsure if he would not like it.

"Why?"

"No. Actually. Alia will be coming with us. So she should sit here in the front"

"No Khushi. It's okay! I already said that you are on one side and she is on the other. And its just a matter of 10 minutes, and we'll be at the party" Arnav reasoned her. He did not wanted her to feel alone. It was not that he was more connected to Khushi than he was to Alia. But he wanted to be on both Khushi's and Alia's side. One side of him said that he'll never get a friend like Khushi and the other side said that as Alia was his first girlfriend, so he need to be on her side more.

But he brushed off his thoughts and made up his mind to be with Alia all the time during the party. And also Alia would not feel bad if Khushi sits on the passenger seat, as she'll surely understand that Khushi has come with him, so she's sitting there. That's it! His thoughts came to a halt when he saw Alia exiting her house and coming towards the car.

She was dressed up in a royal blue tube dress, which had black net neck. Her high stilettos made her look much taller than she actually was. Layers of make-up and the jewellery just made Arnav's mouth open more and more, mesmerised by her beauty. Her hair were left open, and flowed down her left shoulder, which made her dangling black earrings look even more enhancing.

Khushi took her hand beside his chin and pressed it upwards, closing his mouth,"Munh band karo. Makkhi ghus jaegi" (Close you mouth. A fly will enter you mouth)

Arnav closed his mouth and got out of the car, to receive Alia. He straightened himself and walked to join Alia. Alia kissed him quickly on his cheek and moved towards the car. "You look beautiful!'' Arnav whispered in her ear, and she blushed.

As soon as they reached the car, Alia saw Khushi sitting on the passenger seat, and fumed. She expected Arnav to open the front door and ask Khushi to sit on the back seat, but when he opened the back seat door and gestured Alia to come, Alia only fumed more. 'This Khushi is taking my place.. but I'll never let her do this' she thought.

Alia unwantedly seated herself on the back seat, and faked a smile to Khushi. Arnav went and sat on the driver's seat and drove to the venue.

On the other hand, Aakash picked up Payal from her home, and drove to the venue.

All of them reached at almost same time. As they were about to enter, Arnav wrapped his one arm around Alia's waist and the other around Khushi's. The five entered the disc hall at the same time. The place was well lit, a board saying 'Freshers Party 2014' highlighting the place. The music was full-on and many students who had already reached there, were dancing and enjoying themselves.

The evening started to take its shape, as the whole hall was filled with Freshers, who were dancing and partying lunatic. And it was not just the case with boys, but girls too! The music was at its highest volume and there was no chance of talking among-selves. You wouldn't hear anything unless you bark in another one's ear! Arnav, Alia, Aakash, Payal and Khushi, danced their body out! As the evening subsided and the music-volume too got down, there was an announcement that the dinner was ready. Some guys and gals, who had danced really very much, rushed towards the food counters, to satisfy their growing hunger. But Arnav and Alia, along with Aakash, Payal and Khushi stayed back, and waited for the temporary rush to clear out.

After having an awesome-delicious dinner, drinks were served. Though Alia urged to have some, but because of Arnav, she prevented herself. Khushi, on the other hand, had started to feel a bit bored, as Arnav was dancing with Alia and Aakash with Payal. So she moved a bit aside, and slowly moved into a secluded area, to have some much-needed peace. Its been happening with Khushi right from her childhood - prolonged loud music disturbed her mind, and she would start to feel heavy all of a sudden. Today too, she moved aside from the place because her head had started spinning. She went to the washroom, to wash her face a bit. As she was coming back, she found Arnav coming towards the washroom, but he seemed a bit different.

"Arnav?'' Khushi called out for him,"OH.MY.GOD! Are you drunk?"

Arnav fluttered his eyes a bit to clear his vision, and then said in his ever-husky voice,"Khushii.."

"Arnav. Why did you drink? You never do. Then why did you drink today?" Khushi questioned.

But he didn't care about what she was asking or saying. He was all busy in admiring her beauty. How tempting she looked in Red colour!

Khushi held him by his shoulders and took him to the common wash-basin which separated the Gents and Ladies washrooms. She opened the tap and quickly splashed palms of water on his face, trying to bring his back to his senses. But as soon as the drops of cold water hit his eyes, he came back to normal. 'Thank god he didn't drink very much!' Khushi thought.

Arnav closed the water-tap and turned towards Khushi.

"Why did you drink?" Khushi asked, authoritatively.

"I..I.. Aise hi" he stammered. Actually, Alia couldn't resist herself from drinking, so she forced Arnav to take some. Otherwise, Arnav was not someone who indulged in drinks.

Khushi searched her small purse for a hanky and finding it, she started to wipe the drops of water from his face.

Meanwhile, Alia came towards the washroom to search for Arnav, and the sight she saw, made her fume to hell! Arnav's hand on Khushi's waist, and Khushi using a hanky to wipe his face.

'You are crossing your limits Khushi. Now you have to bear the consequences. In very less time, you will find yourself all alone. Arnav can not be your friend and my boyfriend at the same time. I'll not let him be. He will have to choose between me and you. And I'll make sure he's with me. Only me! And not you, Khushi!' she thought and fumed more.

The guy was fully intoxicated due to the alcohol and he put a hand on Khushi's waist dragging her close. Khushi lost her balance because of the sudden force and her hands landed on his shoulders for support. She tried to push him off her, but he was much stronger than she was. Khushi had by now started to panic, and struggled to get off. She just hoped Arnav to arrive with the car soon.
