How did sharifuddin die actually in history?

Akbar told one of his general to carry out his orders cannot remember that generals name

I cannot confirm if that is true or not as I do not have that book now to check and confirm

But reason of death was he attempted on Salim life a few times I think that was 3rd time or something so Akbar had ordered his death and it was carried out by a general of Akbar

I am not sure if Bakshi was given the choice to decide punishment

Sharifuddin had no kids that is confirmed

It stated that Sharifuddin was proved to have carried out yet another assassination attempt on future emperor Jehangir and hence was given that punishment
