Asya OS: Anniversary Impossible

Night:

"12 bajgaye, par Mr. Khan ne abh tak phone nahi kiya... Bhul gaye kya...???" Zoya spoke to herself with bed lamp on...

Several thoughts crossed her mind. This is their first wedding anniversary. Her Mr. Khan is busy with conference in Pune leaving her alone in Bhopal. His promise to return to Bhopal day before their anniversary broke before 24 hours. Her restlessness prevented her from sleep. She sat on bed waiting for his call. She thought of calling him, but cancelled her idea. She wants to know whether he remembers or not.

She placed her hand on the right side of bed which is empty... Person who occupies that place is away from her. She remembered her surprise birthday celebration. She guessed that Asad might be planning something like that.

"What do you mean delivery nahi hua hai...??? Mein ne kaha ki aaj subha deliver hojana chahiye aur aap mujhe raat ki barab baje yeh bata rahe ki delivery nahi hua hai..."Asad blasted customer care caller... "Kya kal subha tak delivery hojayega...??" They answered that it will take 2 more days.

"Aur 2 din...!!!" Asad angrily disconnected call... "Mrs. Khan mujhe maar dalenge... unhe lagega ki mein anniversary bhul chukka hoon ... Mein ne anniversary se pehle Bhopal mein rehne ka waada kiya tha.. iss conference ki extension ki wajah se yeh bhi thod diya... Mein inn sab ke make up ke liye unhe advance gift courier beja hai woh bhi delay hogayi..." He touched his temple... He looked up, "Mrs. Khan ki Allah Miyya, please mujhe aanewale tufan se bacha lena..."

After 3 Hours:

Asad packed his luggage and rushed to airport... He didn't want to miss this flight... He has to reach Bhopal by morning...

Airport:

"Sir, Bhopal jaanewala flight technical reasons ki wajah se delayed hai..." Voice from that counter downed him completely...

He enquired about availability of any other flight to Pune. But there are no flights to Pune till 8 AM... He thought of hiring a cab... But he will not be able to reach early... He thought of waiting till 12 PM...

"Mein Mrs. Khan ko call karta hoon... Daat sunna padega, but galti kiya toh bhugtna toh padega..." He looked at his phone, "Battery Dead...!!!" He stood on his feet... He searched for phone booth around... He found one in waiting area... He walked to phone, "Out of Order...!!!" Untill he reach his gate there will be no phone available...

"Mere Anniversary Celebration Impossible hai...!!!"

Morning:

"Bhai jaan, aap yaha kya kar rahe hai... aapka toh aaj anniversary hai..." Ayaan exclaimed...

Asad explained unfortunate happenings of his surprises... He planned to surprise her with a gift as a make up for his mistake which didn't reach her... later he planned to stand before her early in the morning before she open her eyes which didn't happen due to flight delay... His phone was dead and other phones out of order... He didn't understand what to do..???

"Aap ki toh band baja bharath hai bhai jaan... Pata hai Mona ko lag raha ki aap usse Birthday ki din ki tarah surprise denewale hai..."

"Abb mein kya karoon... Mein ne celebration ke liye uski favorite band ko bhulaya tha... Unka lead guitarist ka accident hua hai, issi liye woh bhi nahi aaraha hai..." He held his head, "Already 3 baj raha hai, itna jaldi mein kroonga kya...???"

8 PM:

"Agar unhe surprise dena hai toh jaldi nahi de sakte... Raat hogaya hai par janaab ka atha-pata nahi..." Ring on land line disturbed her thoughts... She answered call... It's Asad..

Before she could blast him, "Zoya jaldi se lake pe aajana..." he disconnected call...

Zoya stood confused, "Itne raat Mr. Khan mujhe akele aane ke liye keh raha hai... Pune mein pagal oh nahi hogaye hai..."

"Mona Bhabi chalo..." Zoya shook her head seeing Ayaan their...

Laga tha, Mr. Khan mujhe akele aane ke liye kyun kahenge...' She thought how predictable he is...

Ayaan dropped her lake side and left from there... Zoya looked around... She couldn't find him... Darkness around scared her... Water sounds, harsh breeze accompanied her... She saw Asad walking to light from darkness... She made an angry face, but Asad pulled her with him before she burst out her anger...

He took her to a rowing boat and asked her to sit inside... He followed her into boat... He pushed Oars back pulling boat front... Zoya was silent understanding that her anger can spoil the moment... He might have planned and working this on from morning, that is the reason she guessed for his absence... She smiled looking at him using his muscles to push water... All their moments flashed in front of his eyes... Asad stopped boat in middle... He clapped to bring her to present...

"Mr. Khan aap mujhe yaha kyun laaye hai..??" She asked reason for choosing this place...

"Yeh dekhiya... Khula aasma, humare boat aur yaha humare alawa koi nahi hai, uss chaand ke alawa..." He pointed full moon up in the sky... Silver water tremble boat... "Happy Anniversary Mrs. Khan..." He pulled bouquet of Lilly's from back and presented them to her... Her smile lightened place...

"Happy anniversary to you too Mr. Khan..." She pulled a box from her bag, she opened it... It is having a beautiful platinum watch with leather belt...

"Bahot sundar hai Mrs. Khan... Par aap isse bhi sundar aap lag rahe hai... Aur iss khoobsurat se amanat ke liye mein kuch laya hoon..." She looked at him with closet eyes... He turned back and picked up a jewel box...

It is having a simple chain in it... Her smile spread wide... He got up balancing himself and tied chain around her neck... He went and sat beside her... She wrapped her hand around his arms and placed her head on his shoulders... They live moment named for them...

"Mein aapse bahot gussa hoon Mr. Khan, aap subha se mila hi nahi, humare anniversary ke din aap mujhse kitne dur te..." She complained...

"Agli baar se nahi hoga, mein dur reh kar bhi paas rahunga... tumhare dil ke pass..." He opened locket hanging from her chain... It framed Asad and Zoya's wedding picture in it... She hugged him tight...

"Waise Mr. Khan aap kaha te pure din...???" She questioned...

"Woh... Actually Mrs. Khan..." He explained so many hindrances for their anniversary celebration... Cancelled Band, His dream anniversary celebration, Failed courier, Delayed Flight, Battery Dead and he was dead thinking about her anger... She blasted into laughter, "Aapko hassi aarahi hai, pata hai mujhe laga ki aap gussa honge yeh soch kar ki aap pe mera pyaar kum hogaya hai... kyun ki mein ne subha se wish nahi kiya hai..."

"Aapka pyaar humesha aapke aankhon mein jhalakta hai Mr. Khan aur aapke kiye hue har cheez mein... Uss customer care waale pe gusse mein, Flight delay ki tension mein, aapke dream celebrations mein sabb mein mere liye pyaar hai... Aur aapne itne kum samai mein mere liye jo bhi kiya woh kum nahi hai..."

"Mujhe toh laga, humara pehla Anniversary Impossioble hoga..." He said staring stars...

"Aur aapne iss Mission Impossible ko Possible kar diya..."
