And anyways...even in canon...Bellatrix says in OotP to Harry,
"You need to want to cause pain, boy. And not simply righteous anger." Now wanting to cause pain and deriving pleasure from it is an emotion in itself right?

Plus, how much emotion you put in any spell does count...remember the Trio in the Shrieking shack? all three were charged up and so, even with a simple expelliarmus, not only disarmed snape but also blasted him back into the door

And the same goes for Snape in HBP when he killed Dumbledore...DD was blasted over the parapet and intot eh grounds because of the force of the spell...and the spell was powerful bcoz Snape put so much emotion in it...

"Hatred was etched on his face," yadda yadda

wanting to cause pain = a strong desire for the result of an action , not fully qualifies as an emotion.

righteous anger = 100% qualifies and the person have logic to back this emotion.

in POA , three people casted a spell at the same time, so the impact is surely going to be huger.... for Dumbledore's death i wont say anything because i still have a lot of doubts on snape's emotional level.
