Who is the biological mother of Shruti?

Anjana Gill, Gayatri's adopted mother.

Now who's Anjana Gill? is she dead? when did she adopt Gayatri? Was she any good?

OK, this is a long story. Basically, Anjana Gill is a friend of Parvati's, she and Gayatri and the Kaul family (Sameer etc) came to the show together. Gayatri and Sameer were engaged to be married. Later, they somehow found out the Shruti and Gayatri had been accidently switched at birth during some riots. Up until then, they had all believed that Shruti was O-P's bilogical daughter and Gayatri, Anjana and her husband's (always forget his name).

Sameer and Shruti fell in love, but G and Sameer were to get married. ON the day of the wedding, G had to leave the mandap for some errand, and Anjana begged Shruti to sit in her place. S and S ended up getting married, though he knew nothing about it, and G came back and behaved like his wife. Eventually, he found out, "divorced" her and went and married Shruti. But G was pregnant by this time.

Anjana and her family left the show and went to America; Gayatri stayed to get to know Parvati et al. Shruti was kidnapped (by Sasha and Pallavi) and Gayatri loved the attention she was getting from the family in S's absence. Gayatri then had her kidnapped again. When Shruti escaped, she got into an accident which caused some kind of internal bleeding, and she was told that she would not be able to have children. When Parvati found out, she hated G. G was so guilty about what she did, that when her son was born, she gave him to Shruti and left.

She came back on Sonu's wedding, and stole Chotu (the kid) away w/o anyone knowing. Then, just recently, we found out that she took him to Mayuri and left him with her for a few years. When she came back, she was accidentally killed by Mayuri. Chotu's governess stole him away and now no one knows where he is.
