HI All,
I watched the episode recap for today's episode (March 19, 2014) as posted on youtube. I have to say Urmi's mother-in-law - Shahi is a piece of work.
I haven't seen the full episode so i don't what she said (most likely nothing) when SamRat was going on his rampage and eventually slapped Urmi. However the fact that Urmi has decided to leave and was packing her bags and remembering all the evil/disgraceful and downright wrong things Samrat has said and done thus far - basically he's treated her like a door mat and he wants a wife would will just do as he says - dance to his tunes, keep herself busy in household chores, service him in bed at night and make him the center of her universe and nothing more. Urmi is docile and she's been timid around him and has been giving in to his demands thus far but thankfully she's taken off her rose tinted glasses and sees SamRat for who he is - a disgusting creature.
Going back to Urmi's MIL - she is a real piece of work. The only reason she is "supporting" Urmi's decision to leave is because she doesn't want Urmi around - this way she can control (i use that term loosely - considering Samrat is not one to listen to anyone) her son - she can sweet talk him into getting her way and getting things out of him - that's probably the only reason she puts up with his behavior. This too will come bite her in the butt at some point but that's for a different discussion.
The only good thing is - regardless of Shashi's motivation in doing so - the things she was saying to Urmi do stand true - Urmi does need to put her foot down and make a statement at this juncture otherwise Samrat will continue to walk all over her and get progressively worse (if that's even possible he's hit all the levels of abuse - emotional, verbal and now physical) The other part of Samrat understanding Urmi's worth and repenting and bringing her back - that part I don't think will happen. The only way I can see him bringing her back is if it hits his ego. If Urmi staying away looks bad on him then for the sake of his ego he'll bring her back - same reason he married her - Trisha said he was not worth Urmi - which hurt his ego therefore he married Urmi - same logic here.
I'm really waiting for the day Samrat starts abusing his parents - he already emotionally and verbally abuses his whole family - what I don't get is why they put up with it. If its a matter of money then I would say it would be better for Shashi, Samrat's dad, brother and Bhabi and now baby to move out live in a lesser expensive place and live on what ever Diwakar can earn - that way at least they can all stay peacefully even if it's a modest lifestyle. Samrat's parents are at fault here - they should have put Samrat in his place eons ago when his ego started getting out of hand - had they nipped his egoistic nature in the bud - things would have been much better today.
