I disagree. She wasn't great in Raajneeti, and Estella will be a difficult role because she's going to have to get a balance to look cold without looking like a plank of wood like she did JTHJ and ETT.

On top of that it sounds like they're turning this into a fully fledged love story between Pip and Estella which is NOT what Great Expectations is about. It's a coming off age story about Pip, Estella is hardly in it, and when she is the storyline is about Pips obsession with her, his desire to become a 'gentlemen' so he can marry Estella. It's not a love story, it's a story about class relations.

We don't know how true they would stay to great expectations. When I first heard Fitoor was an adaption of Great Expectations Katrina's role made sense to me. She can easily give of that awfully pretty but cold vibe. But you are right. You can easily mess this up and JTHJ will repeat.

I still can't see another actress play this role. They do not remind me of Estella. Despite Katrina's acting abilities I have always felt she manages to pull off all her roles. So I hope this works.

i trust aditya to pull off pip...hopefully he will be as dashing as ethan hawke was...but katrina?...oh dear lord...she has the looks..but estella was a v complex character..which i dont think she can pull it off

uff. Ethan Hawkes was terrible. I made it through like 15-30 mins of that film. So bad.

But Ethan Hawkes is AMAZING in pretty much everything else 😊

i found him decent in great expectations...i think the script wasnt strong enough..it was very confusing...
but he is excellent in before sunrise and its sequels😳
