I realise this is probably old news for many, but OMG! I'm gobsmacked. I don't dislike Katrina Kaif (she was good in Namaste London, APKGK, and MBKD) but she is NOT cut out for this. I'm guessing she's going to play Estella because she's pretty but she can't act in serious films. She just can't. There are plenty of gorgeous young actresses who can act extremely well in serious films why not use one of them.

So annoying, this is one of my favourite novels and it looks like they're going to use it to make a masala film.

EDIT: It's being promoted as a 'timeless love story'. Wow.

@desicrowd, you hit the nail on the head.

Kangana would have been cool in this role, but the film sounds like it's going to go the love story route so she would have been wasted in it.

Priyanka could have pulled it off as well, although I don't think she has the right look for it.

Aditya Roy Kapoor puts end to 'Fitoor' rumours

While of late news has been abuzz that filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor's venture 'Fitoor' will probably not take off, we give you an insight of the actual story.

The film, also starring Katrina Kaif in lead, is very much on and the team is gradually busy with the ground work. Recently Aditya said to had accompanied director Abhishek Kapoor for the recce to Kashmir. Thus, the actor has put the rumours to reset of the film to be shelved as rumoured earlier.

According to our sources, Aditya, who is currently shooting for Habib Faisal's 'Dawat-e-Ishq' with Parineeti Chopra, had some days off from the shoot when he decided to accompany Abhishek for the recce.

We were told that the actor took keen interest in going for the recce to see the beauty of Kashmir and the probable locations where they would shoot for his upcoming next. Aditya said, "I like to be involved with my films from the beginning. It helps me understand the whole film and my character better. So when I got to know that the recce of Fitoor was starting I was keen to make the trip."

Aditya and Abhishek spent about 6-7 days in Kashmir in search of locations and as scheduled the film will go on floors in June-July 2014.

Workshop for the movie was supposed to start from april but now its push down to may. I have great expectations from this movie . One coz this is the most promising movie of all that katrina has signed , abhisheik kapoor a great director , and lastly scorpio and cancer make passionate stories. Like priyanka n srk. I just hope they get comfortable. Once they get comfortable , every thing are automatic.
