The Jai Ho actor doesn't seem to be up for mommy roles, it seems

Tabu was reportedly offered a role by Zoya Akhtar in her next film, Dil Dhadakne Do(tentative title), which stars Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra and Anushka Sharma.And guess what? She turned down the offer. Why? That's because she thought that she didn't suit the part. Apparently, Tabu was offered to play 31 year old Priyanka's mother, but the Cheeni Kum actor was not comfortable with the role.

She is a star and has a wide repertoire of roles that have been appreciated by fans and critics alike. She felt that Priyanka's mother's role didn't fit in with what she is currently looking out for," a source was quoted by a tabloid.

Looks like Tabu is not yet game to play an onscreen mommy considering she is reportedly being paired opposite Shahid Kapoor for Vikas Bahl's (director of Kangana Ranaut's Queen) next film. Yes, that's an unconventional pairing, but then maybe that's what Tabu is "looking out for", right?

What the heck is wrong with Zoya ? A woman in her early 40s playing a woman in her 30's mother ? 😒 Does she need a lesson in biology ?

Tabu is too polite. Kajol is turning 40, Zoya should try offering this role to her, the reaction will set Zoya straight.

Maybe Zoya can rope in her bhabhi Adhuna to play PC's mother. God knows she suits the role cos she looks like Farhan's mother. 😆

i'm glad she did; that's just plain stupid. tabu is gorgeous and young. why the F**K should she play priyanka's mother? smh.

their age difference isn't even that big.

love the khans, but if THEY can still play hero roles, why do amazing actresses like tabu get delegated to mom roles upon reaching a certain age.

Has Zoya lost it? Thinking of Tabu and Madhuri to play mommy to 31 yr old PC and 28 yr old Ranveer 😳

Anyways it's a smart decision, Tabu deserves bigger and better projects where she can shine! Hope she does the Vikas film!

lol guys zoya just offered it to her, she had the choice of accepting or declining, and she declined.I am sure whoever suits the role best will end up doing it.
