Sanjay Leela Bhansali hasn't yet given up the idea of making Bajirao Mastani - a historic drama about Maratha warrior Bajirao and his second wife Mastani. The director is said to be reviving this once-shelved movie with Deepika Padukone in the lead role.
While insiders claim that Deepika Padukone is almost confirmed for the film, the question is who will play Bajirao in the movie. Trade talk suggests that Sanjay Leela Bhansali is planning to start Bajirao Mastani in January 2015.
The movie demands 180-200 days at a stretch from the lead actors, and post the success of Ram-Leela, most of the actors are apparently willing to do so. The names that are doing the rounds for the role of Bajirao are Ajay Devgn, Hrithik Roshan, Ranveer Singh and even Shahrukh Khan. Incidentally, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has worked with all of them and shares a great rapport.
