Aliya lacks knowledge of her Deen

Aliya is a well-cultured Muslim. She prays 5 times a day. She reprimands Zain for his lack of religious knowledge. She makes sure to follow the Sunnah of Walimah. She hails from a conservative muslim family and that is where these above values stem from, she takes pride in her religion.

But to call her a knowledgeable muslimah. Surely Not. Someone who is strong on her deen. Knows her deen. Aliya truly doesn't.

We saw her today
-Sporting a wig.
-Wearing a revealing dress.
-Lying about her identity.. and she has lied many times before.

I couldn't comprehend why Aliya would be in such a dress at a party, that she picked it for herself at a shop.

To step back a little and recall- Aliya sold her jewelry to help Fahad. On being asked she remained quiet, keeping Fahad's secret safe.
But when Suraiyyah accused Aliya of having sold the jewelry to help out her family, I am a little too stunned to think of her hurtful expression, as though she had been accused of something terrible. The question that had stemmed in my mind seeing Aliya sell her jewelry got it's answer then. Would Aliya sell her jewelry to help her parents without a second thought just the way she did for Fahad? No.

These are the reasons, I am left to ponder over Aliya.

Your right, Aaliyah didn't look as if she was feeling awkward or anything, she should have at least wore a dress which covered her arm at least

Was wondering the same. Donning a disguise didn't mean wearing revealing clothes.
Aayat's part also I didn't like. Her red dress was so shorttt, I didn't expect her to wear it. And she is not small teen, she's in college so I'm sure she might be having some sense that if her mom saw her in that dress, how disaappointed she would be.

Only one thing I'm not happy about is the fact that even if she needed a disguise she didn't need to go with a dress that doesn't suit her personality.

Also can I just add, there are girls who are muslims and fine with wearing short clothes and bearing their stomach like Aliya did in her engagement. So I'm not saying girls don't but the fact that Aliya has been portrayed to be conservative in these aspects so it makes no sense for her going for these types of clothes.

this isn't the first time aliya has worn an outfit that wasn't Islamic. unlike ayat who seemed a bit uncomfortable wearing clothes tht revealed her skin a bit, aaliya has always shown 2 b comfortable.. be it her engagement lehnga, her saree at valentines day party or today... all 3 outfits were not Islamically acceptable dresses as they did expose her skin quite a bit yet she wore them and seemed rather comfortable too... the show may be based around a Muslim family and aliya may be shown to be religious but that isn't quite the case, becos there are a few things tht aliya doesn't follow which she should if they r making it out as though she is very religious...one of them being her wearing a scarf when she goes out... I think we just have to ignore that its a muslim show and jus treat it like any other drama...

Exactly! no matter what the situation may be, our moral grounds should remain intact. And that's what didn't happen with Aliya.

As for Ayat, I am shocked, Do i just put it on her age? Honestly no. I didn't like her track as it played out But today i think her tears and sudden urge to head to Bhopal, was the mark of guilt that she is scared about what she has gotten herself into. She is desperate.

This is what I meant when I said they have been raised in a conservative family in a cultural way, true knowledge both of them lack. Also what her mother would think is second, if Ayat had any conscious values that she has been taught, she would first think about her Lord.
