Shahid turned down Bang Bang?

Shahid Kapoor was the first choice for Hrithik starrer Bang Bang

As we know, Hrithik and Katrina are currently shooting for Bang Bang, a remake of Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz action romance 'Knight and Day'. However, many are not aware that the first choice for this role was Shahid Kapoor.

Apparently, a Fox Studios producer was keen to cast Shahid after noticing him in Mausam. News is that Shahid's look was similar to Tom Cruise in Top Gun, and therefore the makers thought that he would fit in in this Knight and Day remake.

However, Shahid was apprehensive of all the possible comparisons with Tom Cruise and therefore chose Prabhudeva's R Rajkumar over this film.

The rest is history, and as we talk, Hrithik and Katrina are on their Delhi schedule of Bang Bang. Directed by Aanjana Aanjani director Siddharth Anand, the movie is slated to release this year on October 2.

Do you guys think that Shahid made a good decision by rejecting Bang Bang?
