Part 23
The rest of the day went smoothly for all of them to let the new developments sink in them. Rishabh felt unusually merry. He had not felt this light in 7 years. He kept on laughing and smiling with Dadi the whole day. The weight on his heart had finally removed by Balraj's arrest. He knew he wont let him come out at any cost now.
Madhu was sitting onher bed now and was thinking of the day's events. She had told Riya about Balraj's arrest and she had felt equally happy. Riya came to her room and sat down beside her on her bed.
"Di... Are you okayy?" She asked her as she could see Madhu lost in thoughts.
" Of course I am fine" she replied to her smiling brightly.
Riya smiled back. "RK must be feeling so relieved."
" yeah right... Dont know what he wants to show me tomorrow... " Madhu said wondering to herself.
"Show you what?"
" I dont know... he said that I need not come to office tomorrow as he wants to show me something " Madhu says with confusion.
"Oh my God.. He asked you out?" Riya gets excited.
" What??? He asked me out?? No... He just said that he wants to show me something.. Thats it"
"Come on Di... Dont be so innocent.. He asked you on a date..."
"but he didnt say to me that he wants to take me on a date... " Madhu said confused tothe core
"Come ON!!! He wont be saying 'Come Madhu I am takking you on a date...'"
" Do you think he might propose me?" Madhu said getting one step forward, with widened eyes as she thought of possibilities.
" Oops... You are too fast... but maybe... you never know"
" O my God... O my God... " Madhu gets excited like a baby..
"Cool down Di... He will definitely change his mind if he sees you behave like this..."
"Oops... you are right... Caaalm " Madhu says taking a deep breath and holding herself down.
" O MY GOD!!" she shrieked in excitement as the thought of RK proposing tto her came more strongly in her calm mind.
"Control Di... you must sleep now.. or else you might get dark circles..." Riya said as she walked out of the room smiling at Madhu's excitement.
"yeah right right... " Madhu quickly laid down.

Next day Madhu stood infront of her lmirah with her hands on her hips and she was frowning. Riya entered the room and looked at her.
"Whatt happened Di... Everyhing okay?" She said worriedly as she saw Madhu frowning and worried.
"how can everything be okay... Do you see there is nothing I could wear.. " She said angrily.
Riya laughed at her. "Ohhoo you look beautiful Di.. Let me see..."
" RK would propose to.me... I need to look good" She said exasperated.
On the other hand, RK was busy with his own preparations.
"Bittuji... I told you some work... Is it all done? " RK spoke on his cellphone.
"Yes Chief... Its done... Everything is settled and its all perfect..." Bittuji assured him.
"Good... Because if this goes wrong Bittuji, I dont know whats going to be right with you... "
Bittuji smiled as he was accustomed to his threats. "Dont wory Chief..."
Rishabh turned to look at the mirror. He could see his eyes beaming with excitement. He thoughtbof Madhu with him and felt Madhu's fragrance all around him. He took in a deep breath to savour the feeling. He couldnt wait to be with her. He remembered how beautiful she looked at the party night. Images of Madhu started running in front of his eyes. How he stared her while she works in her cabin. When she had confessed her feelings for him with her eyes closed. She looked so innocent and naive. And the night at tge party when she was angry at him. She looked beautiful even with that anger and fuery eyes. And then he remembered her towel clad figure. She looked so wonderful only in that towel.Rishabh smiled shyly as he remembered her. And nodded his head as he found himself again lost with those water droplets that traveresed through her neck.

Madhu looked herself in the mirror as she got ready. She couldnt help but check herself again and again. She was happy, excited and nervous at the same time. She was doubting again and agaiin if she was looking good, so had to turn to mirror. It was almost the tenth time when she had adjusted her lipstick.

Rishabh had by now gotten ready. His hair were still wet. He smirked seeing himself in the mirror as he knew he looked sexy. But those wet hair wont be staying like that for long. He sighed and started to brush his hair for good.

Madhu waited for RK to pick her up. She was checking her watch again and again but clock seemed to be slower than the snail. She stood up and stomped her feet to he door but couldnt find him, so returned back frowning.
As she turned back, Rishabh got down his car and entered her gate. He saw her turning away and knocked at the gate. Madhu tyrned back sharply to face him. She smiled brightly as sun.
Rishabh saw her from top to bottom and couldnt help but stare. Everyhing except for Madhu blurred for him and all he could see was Madhu with her bright smile.
hmm Meharbaani jaate-jaate mujh pe kar gaya
Guzarta saa lamha ek daaman bhar gaya
Tere nazaara mila, roshan sitaara mila
Taqdeer ki kashtiyon ko kinara mila
Madhu stepped towards him. She was dressed in a white and yellow suit. She indeed looked like sunshine. Her lemom yellow dupatta flew backwards as she moved forward. She was so radiant. Rishabh was in awe of her beauty.
"RK... " Madhu had come close to him by now and interrupted him as she realosed he was lost in her. She blushed as she realised her effect on him.
" Madhu you look beautiful" Rishabh said still in his dreamworld, while Madhu couldnt reply anything but blush.
"Shall we go? "
" Yup.. " Rishabh said and moved aside to give her way. They sat in the car and Rishabh drove off.
Sadiyon se tarse hai jaisi zindagi ke liye

Rishabh looked at Madhu as he couldnt help but imagine the beauty his life with her.

Rishabh's cell started to ring, he felt his phone and was about to pick up when Madhu interrupted.
"You Cant Do this... " She almost shouted.
" What am I doing?"Rishabh got scared at her sudden interruption.
"This.. " Madhu raised her hand in the air pointing ay his hand.
" This what Madhu..."Rishabh exclaimed confused.
" You just cant pick up the phone while driving." Madhu said frowning at him.
Rishabh rolled his eyes. "Oh my God... I will Handle Madhu "
"NO! " She said stubbornly.
" Fine... You pick it up" Rishabh handed over the phone to Madhu.
"What if its something official? " Madhu said confused.
" You are also my PA Madhu.. You handle most of my office work... Now pick it up fast.. It might get disconnected."
Madhu quickly answered the call as she realised that its been long since the phone has been ringing
"Hello Bhai..." Sikky said from the other side.
" amm... No its me.."
"Oh... Its you Madhu ma.. oops sorry... Bhabhi" Madhu could feel he was chucking while saying that while she blushed
" What.. amm "
"Heehee... Bhai said that I need not call you Mam anymore..." he grinned.
Madhu blushed and looked at Rishabh who was innocently driving the car. "Do you want to give him some message? " Madhu tried to avert the topic.
"Nope... just wanted to wish him all the best.."
Madhu got confused. " Why..."
"Come on Bhabhi... I am not going to ruin all the suspense here"
Madhu blushed again hearing Bhabhi from his mouth.
Sikky bade her farewell and hung up the phone.

Just then the car stopped and Madhu looked around. They were at the beach. Madhu looked at Rishabh and he smiled back at her.
'Could he have thought of something original... Beach! Seriously... Everybody does that...' She moaned in her heart as she frowned. Just then Rishabh turned to face her and she forced a big smile, but it was more of frustration. Rishabh saw and grinned back at her as he knew what she was thinking.
" Shall we?" Rishabh said raisjng his eyebrows at her.
Madhu walked forward as she rolled her eyes. She was clearly not impressed.
They walked to the beach and Madhu had just started to take in the fresh breeze and the warmth of the beach. ' Its not that bad.. and being with RK, this place never felt this beautiful...' She thought yo herself.
"Madhu... " Rishabh called out from one side.
Madhu turned towards him and was awestruck. Behind RK was a beautiful setup. There was a wooden ramp with light blue water coloured curtains flowing on both sides. The ramp lead to a round wooden platform with white table and chairs which was again covered with blue curtain. The platform had sea water flowing beneath it. The whole scene looked so much serene. It was so soothing. One could just stand there and watch the beauty and not get tired. And with RK standing infront of it in his dark blue coat and those Greek God like eyes of his. Madhu felt so captivated.
RK walked close to her and put his hand forward. " May I have your company." Madhu just gave her hand and in his and without waiting for her response he swayed her with himself and while she was hypnotised by his eyes.
Rk let her walk in front while he walked behind her. In the white and blue setup with sea all around Madhu did look like sunshine to him. His sunshine. He smiled at himself the thought. They sat on the chairs. RK looked at her with passionate and loving eyes which was making Madhu nervous. She was getting conscious of herself. She had been waiting for this moment but now when it had finally occured she was just to nervous about it. She had never been nervous in front of RK but she didnt know how to talk to this romatic RK.
" this place is beautiful..." Madhu said nervously.
" ohh yeah... Bittuji did a great work.." RK said smiling and looking at the decorations. Madhu smiled at him.
" Sooo..." Madhu looked at him raising her eyebrows
" Sooo..." Rishabh responded.
" Are we..."
" Are we...?" Rishabh asked confused
Madhu took a deep breath frustrated.
"Stop repeating me RK... " he chuckled hearing her..
"Lets have some thing to eat... "
Madhu faked a smile though she was frustrated from inside. ' Eat... wow... Who wannts to eat right now... Just say I love you' Rishabh looked at her again, and she again twisted her lips into a smile.
Soon the food was served to them. Madhu saw the food. It was all her favourite dishes. She was delighted to see the food. They started to eat the food. But it felt as if even with all the tasty cuisines in front of her shhe had lost her appetite. She couldnt seem to eat. The butterflies in her stomach were making it difficult for her to eat.
Rishabh was noticing her figeting with her plate nervously. Even he seemed to have ran out of conversation. Though je had been planning this for long but now he seemed to be equally nervous. Whenever he decided to speak something and looked at her, he would get lost in her beauty.
" Madhu... are you okay..."
" yup i m really fine"
"Didnt you like the food? " Rishabh said getting woried.
"no..its actually really tasty... its nothing like that " and Madhu started to eat the food so he may not feel bad.
No Madhu.. If you dont like we can have something else... Rishabh said worried.
Really RK... Madhu said stressing.
I am glad then Rishabh said smiling brightly.
Madhu was finally getting restless. She decides to break the ice. Rishabh was just focussing on food or her dress or all kinds of irrelevant things.
"amm so RK... why are we here?"
"Why... Dont you know?" Rishabh looked at her confused.
Madhu turned her head side to side looking at him, she was now confused. Is she missing something.
"We are here to have lunch Madhu..." Rishabh said confidently though he was controlling his laughter.
Madhu frowned at him. "So couldnt we have had this in the office..."
"I thought to have some change... "
Madhu's jaw dropped open. Just for a change I didnt sleep all night. Just for a change I toppled my whole cupboard. Madhu frowned looking at her plate. And started to eat taking mouth full spoons.
Rishabh looked at her and bit his lip to stop himself from laughing.
Madhu looked up at him with mouth full. She got even more angry at him, she faked a smile full of frustration, which made him burst into laughter.
Madhu gulped down her food and said in a clipped tone "Whats so funny?"
"You ... are so... cute" Rishabh said in between his laughs.
"Yes and you are stupid" She reverted back.
What happened why are you upset?" Rishabh asked acting innocent.
"Lets just not talk about it" Madhu said concentrating at her plate again.
"Come on Malik..."
Madhu smiled at him this time genuinely. "I am Okay... and the food is really good"

I wanted to end the story with this update but I am starting with my exams from tomorrow.. so jitna tha sab lai hu maaii baap... 😉 But I couldnt write more... But I will update the last part and epilogue soon
