I started watching this show to see the man behind the legend, inherited a throne at 14 of a dynasty that was still in its infancy, went on to establish it from west coast to east coast of India. It was a given that this man would have his faults, and that just piqued my interest. Now the show, when it started, had the potential to show that, it was Jalaal's personal journey, with MUZ as his companion, it was supposed to be journey of two people holding hands, and walking together in the same pace. What I see now, is more like one having a rope around the neck of the other and pulling them on.
What makes a TV series a cult classic, is its story and the execution, but in this case, both seem to be a slave of TRPs.
I wonder if it's good that in west, they have shows divided into seasons, where each season takes the story forward, and shows with hour-long episodes, so much transpires. Characters truly have gray shades to them, and you don't know whether to hate them or pity them, but, here's it's all black and white.
And now they have maha-episodes, which we all know, is just one hour of dragging on weekends with no progress in story. Really feeling sad for this show because, they had a talented caste, but now it looks all bleak.
